"Profound Bead Story" I have been sitting on my Grandmother's 13/0, 15/0, and 18/0 beads for 32 years, some are her Grandmother's beads. Through you, I finally have a vision for something I can make for myself to wear and pass down to my eldest Granddaughter. I also have my Momma's beads that she kept from her Grandmother (who raised her) she passed at 114 and was beading the morning she passed when Mom was 27. Mom has been gone for 20 years I got her beads too. Really old beads, and the dancing fire in them is breathtaking. They even feel different. Like me, she couldn't bring herself to use them, she would play with them when she missed her Grandma. LOL, I had a sparkly landing when I fell off that tree! I play with them when I miss them too. When my eldest Niece got married a few years ago, I used 5 generations of Grandmother's beads to make her wedding bouquet. It was the highlight of her wedding, and she couldn't put it down...lol, she took it to bed. The Lily in my photo is one of her beaded flowers from her bouquet of Lilacs and Lilies. She just asked me to bead it, didn't give me what kind of flowers, or colors, style...I never saw her dress, she didn't give me a theme...she said, just do whatever you think would suit me Aunty, so I did. We live in separate towns, and neither of us uses Social Media so there were no wedding plan updates to follow on SM, I didn't see her for 8 mos as I worked crazy long shifts in the bush. The morning of her wedding, I presented it to her for the 1st time without giving her an idea of what I was making...she was so shocked, she kept looking between me and her beaded bouquet as I explained which flower was made with which Late Granny's bead box stash. She put her arm out...Aunty. I was scared to show you this, I know you hate tatty's but I love you...LOOK! And...do I have to throw it? Now she is crying, She got a tattoo of a Lily on her wrist in the exact colors of the single Lily that was meant to pull out and throw, Had no idea it was her fav. flower and favorite Aunty's name (Me) and Aunty...every color in the Bouquet is on my gown. She was not joking, when I saw her walking down the Isle, my turn to drop my jaws... her wedding gown had Lilac's and Lily's all over it. We couldn't have planned it any better if we tried. She stopped to hug me, at the same time we said, "Their with us"
Beautiful. I would like to see more of your beading... I have heard of different techniques, like 2 needles beading and one needle.... your work is so beautiful and detailed, I would like to see how you fo it. We don't mind your hands in the video. 😍
Your work is absolutely beautiful. The Creator has blessed you tremendously with your hands and ideas that you come up with. And your color's...WoW.😍 I would like to ask a few questions if you don't mind. 1)Where do you buy your bead's from? I'm having a heck of a time finding 13/0 in my neck of the woods. Do you buy from an auction? Or is there a supplier that you can buy directly. 2) And also, where do you get your graph paper for your Medallions ? I ordered some from Amazon and they are so faint that I can barely see them. Thank you for sharing and taking the time to teach us, your followers who look forward to your next video. 😊
