I went to the very first QFF folk festival in 1987, which coincidentally enough was in Maleny. In those days, it was held over Easter. They moved it to Woodford in '94. New Year's Eve is awesome at Woodfordia.
What a brilliant festival, looks so well organised and the shuttle was a great idea 💡. The swimming was the cherry on top imo. Never been to a festival with that before. Im definitely going up next year. Thanks guys knocked it out the park again.xx😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes it was a brilliant festival, and when your in food and drink was reasonable priced rather than over priced like they can be. Thank you for such a kind comment. Thank you! Happy new year ❤️
The temp tattoos were great - its very cool you are both getting into alk the silly fun things ... the festival was great to see .... lovely stuff you two & nice friends you have to !!
The Woodford Folk Festival is welcoming, safe and inclusive. With 450+ artists, 1600+ performances, across +25 venues, for 6 days, over 500 acres, this is Australia's largest gathering of artists and performers. All welcome.
You guys HAVE to come to the Abbeystowe medieval fest July 2025! It's been my annual tradition since moving back to the coast 6yrs ago - and hands down one of the best festivals in the area to experience whether you're a history nerd or not; the vibes are immaculate and I always impatiently await the next yr the moment the weekend ends. The jousting tournament is a must! There's also a banquet that happens at the end of June, just before the weekend festival.
Happy New Year to the three of you and both your families in the UK Kordy. ONE kiss on the cheek for you, a man's handshake for Jaw and a pat for the big man. ❤❤❤
Woodford Folk Festival is an awesome festival. It's all about the arts. You need to go for the Opening Ceremony or the Closing Ceremony up in the Amphitheatre. It's a mind blowing experience.
Hey guys cant think of anything better than spending xmas eve and day with mates (when family arnt available)doing whatever is fun in your area ,I have done so many different things over xmas from drinking a truckload of Beer with mates to cold meat and salad with the family its what you make of it and you guys clearly made the most of the fun ! Poor old WallyWombat prolly had a few too many when he posted but he means well but i echo his sentiment to Cody Joe and Pico all the best for the new year .Btw that festival looks sick !!
It looks like there was mostly modern folk music at the festival. I would be keen to see you guys try a traditional Aussie bush dance. You can easily learn the heel and toe polka. It is the most common bush dance done to old Australian traditional folk music. The Pride of Erin and Strip the Willow and The Drongo are others I remember.
I was in a cultural group performance in the Woodford Folk Festival in the late 90s. I was probably 10-11 years old. Had a wonderful time. It looks to me that the festival hasn't changed; it's still looks as fun as ever!
Had no idea you could go to Woodford for just a day, I thought it had to be for the whole week which works out really expensive. Thank so much for showing us this, we’re going to go Monday! Did you have to buy a car pass $20? Did that include the shuttle bus?
I like Coconuts to drink. I used to pay the natives in New Guinea a dollar for about 5 orange coloured Coconuts. They tasted like Champagne. Picco would get stood on there.

There's a Woodford here in the Blue Mountains but it ain't a big place but as all the towns in the mountains are just peaceful and beautiful.

@@leezacarroll2250 yes it’s a great day trip! Yes the $20 includes the shuttle bus too and they run every 10 minutes all day and night!

Looks like a folk festival with lots of capitalism.Hope there’s a filter in that communal lake with warm patches.
It was well maintained for sure, a great spot!
Good onya Jaw, yeah mate it's a shop/stall, NOT a store. Keep speaking ENGLISH, NOT american.
