I am a first generation Indian American born here. My parents emigrated legally from India. Both have since gained citizenship as they have lived here for 40 years now. What boggles my mind is how Americans defend illegal immigrantion. It devalues all the hard work previous immigrants did to come here legally. If you broke the law to come here, leave, try legally. Deportion is a function of healthy border security. How does it make sense to take dollars out of American taxpayers, legal immigrants included, to allow ILLEGAL immigrants to stay here and exist. Is it hard to emigrate legally, sure. Is it hard to make money? Sure. Does that mean if you dont have money go break the law for it? Absolutely not. Same concept. Why is society so ignorant?!

They each seat 55 people (I used to be liscenced to drive them in the event of a deployment). The military could absolutely do this. Moving the people is actually the EASIEST part of the process, we have the vehicles, we have the personnel. 10,000 busses, 55 people per bus is 550,000 people per round trip if my math is correct. FINDING these illegal immigrants would actually be the challenge. I don't imagine they'd be lining up to get deported. And FINDING 20 million people sounds... Expensive...

I've heard stories where some family flies back down to Mexico to give their money to their families down there to take care of them.
At the end of the day I wish the best these people. I don't hold any grudges, but this is a BIG reason why they do come and try to stay even with a terrible wage that people would consider immoral. My grandmother worked at a chicken plant many years ago. One night, immigration popped up with dozens of people and three big ass buses. Apparently, those buses were filled up a few times over and the company ended up paying like $10,000 a head after the fact. This was a chicken plant that had a mobile home park right next to it where a lot of their employees lived and paid rent with their work. So, yeah. Raids are absolutely a thing. They'd tried it a few times before, but the management got wind of it early and closed down those days for 'various reasons'.

The cost of deporting people will be offloaded onto the taxpayer, and I think it's going to cost way more than we currently pay for social services for immigrants. If you think about it, the companies that employ illegal workers will have to raise prices as well, because it's not like they are going to let that profit margin decrease if they have to pay Americans double the amount.

This is honestly the thing that is truly the most sinister and despicable part about this... You have millions of people around the world world working soooo hard to get in the right way, and all these random people just manage to get through the system illegally due to nothing but proximity to the country or connections to import overseas, and the I would take a guess that due to the economy being as rough as it is, it could also influence and maybe a determining factor in why most people struggle so hard to get in in the first place. It's all so selfish and self centered that, while I empathise of course with the kids and decent upstanding individuals that are foreigner migrants, the fact they have the audacity to buck the system and decide to basically commit a FEDERAL level crime by entering the completely wrong and criminal way, it speaks volumes of the character and values of people that will take the easy way through no matter what, not aware that they infact are the very reason most people who go through the same journey the right way, who respect the sovereignty of the great country of America and what a citizenship and nationality really means and it's true worth and value, over and before their desires to be in that country illegally without any desire to actually assimilate properly and provide, instead only siphoning money through benefits or actively damaging the entire country through dr*gs & cartel violence etc, through whatever motivations such as desperation or whatever the case, I'm sorry we cannot and will not tolerate it.
