I am former military. I don't understand the upset crowd that's saying, 'how could you use the military?!' Uh, easy. We ain't fighting a war right now so they need something to do. Garrison duty fucking sucks.
In my country it would be illegal as hell for the government to use the military within our borders except in cases of war or to help in case of a natural disaster (unarmed). It's supposed to prevent government overreach and authoritarian rule.
@tbk2010 It basically is a war bro, our citizens are being killed in alot of ways, and the narcos have way too much free range in the U.S and Mexico. We've put up with it for too long. That on top of all the tax money that goes to welfare programs for illegals. @tbk2010
I believe that’s the number of people the border guards turned away at the borders and airports including many that holds a valid visitors’ VISA or holding passports that don’t require a VISA into the US. The cumulative amount of illegal aliens actually increases every year including 2017-2021.

In this analogy, the migrants are janitors, who sleep on the bar premise in exchange for low pay. Now the bar is gonna be dirty asf cause no one wants to replace the janitor.
I am a first generation Indian American born here. My parents emigrated legally from India. Both have since gained citizenship as they have lived here for 40 years now. What boggles my mind is how Americans defend illegal immigrantion. It devalues all the hard work previous immigrants did to come here legally. If you broke the law to come here, leave, try legally. Deportion is a function of healthy border security. How does it make sense to take dollars out of American taxpayers, legal immigrants included, to allow ILLEGAL immigrants to stay here and exist. Is it hard to emigrate legally, sure. Is it hard to make money? Sure. Does that mean if you dont have money go break the law for it? Absolutely not. Same concept. Why is society so ignorant?!
its a cultural issue. look at the percentage of Indian or Asian immigrants who typically outperform wealthy White Natives in terms of income, education, and even crime statistics. if even half of that 20 million felt the same way, this wouldn’t be such an issue.
Exactly what I say. Have you seen that tiktok trend of people doing the "my vote matters, we will be deported"? They think theyre entitled to the people that waited years for citizenship just because of something thats happening to them, or a family member.
I literally watched a My Little Pony episode about this. One of the ponies let a bunch of another species of pony into her house, and they took advantage of her and didn't want to leave. The lesson in the episode was literally, being too kind is also bad. She had to be firm and force them to leave and not sponge off of her. Even little kids shows get this right but grown ass adults can't somehow.
Well yea because the previous shift got deported. Now you're doing their work and also maintenance tasks around the building because they're short staffed and can't afford to hire anyone.
@ Well don’t be in violation of federal law in regards to a area that the executive office has express power over then because yes if the president wills it in regards to the border or foreign relations then it is to be done. We have followed the horrendous policies the last four years that and the next four shall be conducted in the same manner if you don’t like it then you better start begging your rep to vote no on every border bill that gets floored in congress. So should those states disregard federal law then they shall be disregarded when it comes to funding. And I say that living in California knowing my state is first up on the chopping block and I hope Trump follows through whole same this time.
"Family separation" isn't even an argument. If a parent gets caught doing something illegal in the US they can get separated from their kids, citizen or not.
I don't understand the perspective of 'the problem is too big to handle'. Have you never overcome adversity? We get through it one step at a time. One deportation at a time. Just start, never stop and you will be successful.
Thank you! As if this is gonna happen all at once and we gotta pay this bill upfront. It’s like people ignore the context of everything, the new efficiency board is cutting wasteful government spending, Trump is going after the Cartels which is one of the main drivers of illegal immigration, we’re going to make peace deals that already look promising in Ukraine and Israel, and we will be cutting all the illegal safety nets that cost American taxpayers. It’s possible when we fix other issues and let’s face it the Trump Economy is gonna be prosperous with the tariffs.
This right here. "The issue at hand is too grand so our hands are actually tied". Stupid argument. People here in the US have gotten so used to just rolling over and letting things happen, it's depressing.

Honestly I'm so tired of hearing about the "family separation" Like if you don't want that then don't bring your family when you come here, they used to do it that way all the time. The man would come first and get an apartment and a job then pay to bring his wife and kids....legally.
I think we all know he means the family could be deported together, unless your English is worse than an Asian immigrant like me, or probably you skip your grammar class for Karmala's campaign?
I'm fresh out of the US Army. The Army has like 10,000 greyhound busses. We have them so that we can move large amounts of troops in a very short period of time. They each seat 55 people (I used to be liscenced to drive them in the event of a deployment). The military could absolutely do this. Moving the people is actually the EASIEST part of the process, we have the vehicles, we have the personnel. 10,000 busses, 55 people per bus is 550,000 people per round trip if my math is correct. FINDING these illegal immigrants would actually be the challenge. I don't imagine they'd be lining up to get deported. And FINDING 20 million people sounds... Expensive...
You do realise you can't drop brazilians or argentinians or chinese immigrants off at the Mexico border, thats not how deportation works.. You will need to get them on planes back to their country of origin. And if they aren't cooperative often flights will get cancelled. We have this issue in Europe when we try to send people back to Africa. they get combative and the entire flight gets cancelled. I mean the Idea might be entertaining but goodluck implementing all that, its just not that straightforward. also 13k people a day every day for four years is really a lot.
Finding them is easy, they took all the benefits, they're tied to them. They show up to their free housing, arrested. Track the phones we gave them, arrested. Using that card we gave you? Arrested. These people are so tightly tied to the system finding them will be easy. Remember how hard it is to disappear now a days? It's even harder when the govt. is supporting you.
They have done far more good for the country being here than not. 95 billion in taxes that they can't get back, working jobs for cheap keeping costs down, and overall tend to be less criminal than residents due to the risk of being deported. Removing them will make at minimum food and construction skyrocket in cost. Not to mention almost 100 billion a year in tax dollars vanish + the cost of the deportations.
@@sevaul They're not keeping costs down they're keeping wages down. They actually increase costs because they increase demand. Criminality is irrelevant if they're already here illegally (i.e. having entered outside of a designated point of entry). Importing 10 people, to construct 1 home, gives you a demand for 10 homes, when only 1 is in progress. "We can exploit them (pickers) because they're cheaper than machines" is a weird way to justify the importation of seasonal labor.
The way you handle families is simple. If the child is underage, the family can choose to take the kid with them, and the kid can return when he a adult, or they can leave them here with family or become a ward of the state.

So then we should put Trump in prison, right? If a crime is a crime and Trump has been convicted of 30 of them, then why is he the president running the country? The losses in American society by Trumps fraud amounts to more than what 1000 illegal immigrants would do if they never paid taxes (they do).

if two illegal immigrants have a child in the US, that child shouldn’t be a US citizen. a child should only get citizenship if at least one of the parents have citizenship.
@@lunasakara7306 As far as I know, there is no actual law on the books that allows this "born on soil magically makes you a citizen" rule, it was merely an interpretation from a judge. So all that needs to be done is have whichever immigration clause reexamined by say, the supreme court, and rule that citizenship by soil is unconstitutional. Trump did mention before that he was going to close this loophole. Edit: For comment spammers screeching about the 14th amendment which was ratified in 1868 following the Civil War, Congress submitted to the states three amendments as part of its Reconstruction program to guarantee equal civil and legal rights to Black citizens. A major provision of the 14th Amendment was to grant citizenship to “All persons born or naturalized in the United States,” thereby granting citizenship to formerly enslaved people. This was a one-time process specifically for slaves, not even American Indians had citizenship until 1924 in a new federal law.
If we can send 6 billion dollars to Ukraine to protect their borders I don’t see why we can’t do the same for our own. Edit. I know we’ve sent way more than 6 billion. I’m just saying it should be the minimum at this point since that was what we last sent.
You do know we're doing way more than that, right? We're basically funding their entire government including, but not limited to, pensions of all retirees.
Since the creation of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in 2003, the federal government has spent an estimated $409 billion on the agencies that carry out immigration enforcement, and tens of billions more on border barriers and other immigration enforcement-related infrastructure projects.
Something they touched lightly on with this interview is about the companies who hire illegals to do work for them. Illegal immigrants will absolutely work below the minimum wage because that money is worth more than their money does in Mexico or other countries. I've heard stories where some family flies back down to Mexico to give their money to their families down there to take care of them. At the end of the day I wish the best these people. I don't hold any grudges, but this is a BIG reason why they do come and try to stay even with a terrible wage that people would consider immoral. The companies who allow this could be a mix of greedy or charity. I can't really speak on them, but they do fuel a lot of motivations to come over to the US. Their countries are absolute shit compare to what we offer at the bare minimum.
I 100% agree OP. Texas was screaming about the amount of crossings in the 90's. It was 20 million back then as well. There's a real easy way to figure it out.... water or sewer usage.
If the lack of enforcing the law and generally not giving a fuck got 20,000,000 people on this side of the border, doing the opposite of those things would probably get them back on the other side.

They were saying 20 million illegals when I was in junior high. That was 20 years ago. The real number is probably closer to 50 million.

This was a chicken plant that had a mobile home park right next to it where a lot of their employees lived and paid rent with their work. So, yeah. Raids are absolutely a thing.
