Even the word Agartala came from Agar itself. Tripura's Agar or Agartala's Agar oil is known as Bangladeshi. Let's talk about Jiribam many may noticed the Oud Jiri Jiri too. Due to at large used by middle eastern people's the Agar is became OUD today. Even many people say it Oriental and irony is that Orient is East not Arab. I remember my childhood day's when Mr. Ajmal use to roam Jiribam areas for the Agarwood in seventies and use to visit our house to request my Tauji (He was a well known name in classic Agar industry as Mr. Agar Gulab) for Agarwood. Whatever the Hindi Oud is known to the world is 100% from Hind but the name Jiribam and Agartala use to ignored. Also if people want to know more in depth knowledge about Agar then please read the Chronicles of Empires of Manipur, Maharajas of Tripura and Ahom dynasty.
