Hi Priscilla, thanks for the great job you are doing in Kenya. Am Abel from Uganda and i totally love and agree with everything you are doing although i would kindly ask you to try this planting method where by like 3 or 4 months before planting your Wambugu seedlings, dig your holes and collect the decomposable stuff from markets and feel it in those holes. Let it rott then just when the rains have started, get the top soil you collected on the side and mix it back in the hole with the decomposed stuff then plant your seedlings.
Remember that whatever you are planting is your own life time garden and the beginning matters alot. Even when these plants are planted like this you'll realize that during the dry season your plants won't be affected very much
Am watching you from Zambia where can I get seedlings for wambungu apples, I saw so someone who was from Uganda, following up famers in liteta and my farm is in mumbwa next to my farm,I really want to try them.
Hi Priscilla, great work! I am growing fifty Wambugu apple plants in Jamaica of the Caribbean. They are said to be the Dwarf Red. What mode of pollination is expected for fruiting? Can they pollinate each other with the help of bees?
Good job🎉 how many apple trees they fit in a 50x100 plot? Instead ikae hivyo si i can plant these apples? I have a ka plot in nanyuki now with borehole water
