🇩🇪 Cologne S-Bahn/Regional Rail Compilation

The Cologne S-Bahn is a section of the much larger Rhein-Ruhr S-Bahn system that runs from Bonn to Dortmund. Inside of Cologne, the fares are integrated with the local light rail network. In Cologne there are 4 S-Bahn lines that cover 239 kilometers of track. The rolling stock used on the network are the series 420, 422, 423, 424, and the Alstom Coradia LINT trains on the S23 in Bonn. All trains have the signature DB red and white livery with the DB logo on the front and sides. The system is a great example of what a good regional rail system should look like having good frequency and electrification. I would definitely recommend anyone who needs it to take it as it is a very efficient mode of transit. Enjoy the video :)
