According to Wikipedia, Tartarus is the lower underworld for titans and evil people, while Hades is the entire underworld(including Tartarus, but also including Elysium, the island for the "blameless" heroes and Fields of Asphodel for normies). So the difference between Hades and Tartarus is the difference between "afterlife" and "hell" However, they could absolutely use Hades as a swear in modern context, as he was dreaded, same reason why hell is a swear now

If you notice, scylla has a invulnerability phase after enough damage in both phases. This is so you cant kill her and only have the instruments going. Scylla will always be the last to die. (Believe me, i tried)
Oh yeah the songs are always amazing, this boss battle also has another song: I Am Gonna Claw (Out Your Eyes And Drown You To Death). I highly recommend checking that one out as well, oh and this cover is in the song's original genre. I know metal covers are very popular so just know that the soundtrack is metal, or at least partially. Another beautiful song from the first game is Lament Of Orpheus, which features the music's composer, Darren Korb, on vocals.
I still find it weird that this game pronounces her name as "Skylla" when every other media that I've seen, that has her in it, just says it as "Sylla"
