Moved to Idaho in the early 80s for work.... and of course for Sun Valley. Those long bump runs either taught you well or ate you up. The place has always had two parallel cultures, one was the people who could really ski, the other was the people who could really spend money. It was always worth a chuckle to fly off the cornice into the bowls while the tourists were lined up at the top, peering over the edge. Of courser it was required to let out a maniacal laugh as you flew right past 'em.

The Count sure had his priorities straight; right dead smack in the Depression.

Great Classic Ski Movie...this was originally a Dick Barrymore ski movie. Barrymore and Warren Miller were both producing ski movies at this time.
The first guy I know of to produce a ski movie was John Jay. I think he did it for fun and it was not really a business.
Everything, in skiing today, really started with guys like these.
I get so bored watching the same five guys Extreme Skiing Valdez, Alaska. They are good but who does that. It's like a fashion show...who ever wears those dresses?
