    Since we all use different cord (single strand, rope or braided) and sizes (mm), you could add 20-30 inches to be sure you have enough. This should cover any differences. People also knot with different tension and that will make a difference too. My cord was braided which is more stretchy. I find that when I buy braided cord and rope, it’s almost never the exact same size, ones always a bit thicker than the other. 0:02

    I used this pattern using a 4-5mm rope. I made some adjustments by putting a 1 inch space between rows and using every second space for the straps. I love it! Thank you!

    I've made one & love it! It's just that I had a mixture of cord left, some were almost 2-3 feet & Some wheere very short. Is there a better measurement for this so I won't be wasting so much. Thank you, Irene

    • @MaCREmebyCre
      @MaCREmebyCre  Год назад +2

      So glad you loved it! I try to give more than you need for measurements because it helps accommodate for someone using a different size or type of cord. You’ll always have a mix of longer and shorter, but the really long ones are normally on the sides. Hope that helps.

    Hello, Thank you for this tutorial. I’ve started the project and I have completed row 4. I’m a beginner and I’m a little confused about the instructions after the 4th row. Is it 21 rows of 1 square knot followed by 21 rows of 2 square knots? Or is it alternating a row of 1 and a row of 2? I’m confused. Thank you in advance. Is it repeating the first row then repeating the 2nd and 3 row to a total of 21? Or 42?

    • @MaCREmebyCre
      @MaCREmebyCre  Год назад

      Hi there! I had a total of 42 rows, but everyone’s will be different because it depends on the mm of your cord and the type of cord you use. You can stop your rows when you’re happy with it! Hope this helps, let me know if you need any help ☺️

    If I wanted to extend to hold 10 hats, how long do you think I should cut the 14 strands?

    • @MaCREmebyCre
      @MaCREmebyCre  Год назад +2

      Well there’s room for a few more straps as it is and if you notice mine has a bunch of cord at the bottom that could have been knotted, so I don’t think you would need much more. Maybe 50 inches or so. Since the straps are adjustable you can actually fit 2+ per strap. Hope that helps!

    • @MaCREmebyCre
      @MaCREmebyCre  Год назад +1

      Thank you! Thinner normally requires less, so I’d leave it the same length. You’ll probably need to add more strands though, so if this is 14 cords, you may need 16-18 cords. Once you place them on the hoop, measure with a hat. Let me know if you have any other questions ☺️
