The late 90s for hip hop was what the early 90s was for rock and roll. But, rock and roll has had a different history in the since that it rose and fell a few times. Hip hop quickly climbed to an amazing level and then plateaued for a while until it started falling and it currently is far lower leveled than where it even started.
