You kind of do. It's a qualcast 35s. Bought it two years ago but it needs to be binned as it keeps throwing belts

Never strim anywhere close to a tree. It girdles the bark and kills the tree. Many mow and blow gardeners kill trees as well as all the edges around the grass areas. The cut with a strimmer is terrible. It's like cutting someone's hair with a chainsaw. The edges get shredded and go brown similar to cutting a lawn at 20mm with a rotary that hasn't been sharpened in 50 years. It's more for killing overgrown weed areas so the space can be cleared out. I hate the things lol.

Never been a fan at all as I mention. The trees near mine are all old and burly so hopefully they will survive the odd do over. I think I will use it when the red fence goes, and the open area which is expected to be turfed, is overgrown and not managed! Will look to hack it down and create a domination line :D :D
I did use it on the weeds behind the back garden fence quite well. So will mainly use it for that.
