And I’m not saying you shouldn’t also honor the active and retired military servicemen and servicewomen on Memorial Day as well if you want to, just reminding him that that’s what Veterans Day is for and that Memorial Day is technically to honor and remember those who have died in action (though you can also apply it to veterans who made it through action and have since passed as civilians as well of course)

Memorial Day is to remember those that died while serving, Armed Forces Day is for those actively serving, and Veterans Day is for those who have served.
@Polecat I missed this but I just watched it and it was amazing my grandpa that passed away would love enjoy getting thanked for his service in the Marine Corps
