@@anthonychang1426 I agree. I love Nolan's films but they were very influential in mostly the wrong way. Man of Steel is a good example. I love that movie with Nolan's story and Snyder's directing, but the dark, brooding tone just doesn't scream Superman to me. I was never a big fan of Superman's character even though I liked Cavill and wanted him to get his sequels, but everything I have seen from Gunn's film has really gotten me so excited about the idea of getting a character-accurate Superman on the big screen. In a world where being kind and compassionate gets you laughed at, it is nice seeing a major blockbuster that isn't shying away from it and showing Superman as he was meant to be. He isn't some representation of America, as certain political people like to say, nor is he meant to be some god that doesn't care about humans, like Homelander. Superman is meant to be someone who so desperately wants to live among humans and be one of us, but he can never truly do so because of his powers and responsibilities. Every action he takes is publicly scrutinized and he gets hate for simply wanting to help others.
This is the Superman we need. The alien that's more human than Bruce or Diana could ever be. Clark grew up on a farm with loving parents. He had chores, friends, animals, grew crops, had responsibilities. He understands real people and their struggles. He's a farm boy that just happens to be incredibly powerful.

in the first trailer, when he got hit in the back of the head with a can, he blinked. Superman wouldn't blink after getting hit in the back of the head with a can. so they fixed it. he no longer blinks. wow.
God, what a trailer. Loved it. I especially loved Lois' interview with Superman... THIS is Lois Lane. She's not out to make a puff piece; she's asking the tough questions and will call you out on your shit; even if you are Superman. That conversation reminded me of the Justice League episodes where Lois & Superman would be on a date (either at a picnic, or at home), and she'd just drill Superman with questions about his and JL's ethics. And Superman defending his actions to Lois with: "People were going to DIE!" says everything we need to know about him; this Superman values human life, first and foremost. The logistics don't matter to him as long as the innocent are safe. Also, it's nice to see a Clark/Superman with a bit more personality. Very much reminded me of the animated series and especially the JL/Unlimited series, where Clark had more of a backbone and had his share of charm. That "Hey buddy. Eyes up here." was perfect. I'm seeing everything that I personally love and expect from Superman's character history, all encompassed here. I simply can't wait for this. Between this and F4, I can't wait for July!!!
FINALLY, we get a Lois Lane with the well known Lois Lane characteristics and traits. I never understood what Singer and Snyder had against that. So relieved to finally get this kind of Lois Lane again.
I'm 58 so I grew up with Christopher Reeve as "Superman". Both this trailer and the teaser made me cry, not just because of the use of the original theme, but because this hits on the same emotional level. The feeling of hope in a world where things often feel hopeless. A truly good being fighting against all the evil ones, simply because it's the right thing to do. I can't wait to see this movie!
This is the kind of trailer that warrants a "gotdam I can't wait". The trumpet notes of the theme song, which sounds reminiscent of the reeve superman got me head to toe goosebumps!
most of the hate are coming from sad people who just want to spread hate. any true comic or superman fan should be pumped for this. i cried tears of joy lol
@carolinehirst4921 oh temper superman who can't control himself.. howabout falling and almos killing innocent lives?? Oh how about thank you when he gets helped standing up? Or how about thank you to mama kent when she says I'll get you your boots?? How about taking the fight to a farm??? ??? Yea the supershit that you need you mean.
I really hope that during that interview or even during the movie, Superman says something to Lois along the lines of “half the situations I find myself in is because YOU put yourself there KNOWING I’ll show up to keep you safe”
I guess it depends on the Superman you grew up with. I was introduced to him through "SuperFriends" on my Saturday morning cartoons, then Reeve's 78 Superman. The dark dreary version in Snyderworld was too serious and foreign to me. That works for Batman but not Superman. I'm very excited for Gunn's version. He gets it.
Will Reeve is in this. Christopher Reeve's son is in the new Superman movie. I have no idea who he is playing. …but him being in this is making me feel feelings.
I absolutely love how the movie seems to focus on Clark living in a world that deems hope and optimism obsolete. Seeing Clark pushed to the point of questioning if Superman truly matters in today's world, as he actively tries to help everyone and gets involved in wars and political ramifications, but ultimately reminded that the world needs hope, truly warms my heart. Everything about this movie just screams Superman, and I couldn't be happier as a Superman fan🥹😁🦸🔥🐕 I also love the visuals and the look of The Engineer's powers, which look so cool. I can already tell Rachel and David's chemistry will be too cute, and Hoult is going to be an excellent Lex Luthor as he just exudes Lex's aura and the way he calls Superman as an "it" truly shows how deep his hatred goes
This looks like it is gonna hit every quadrant of any superhero movie I can think of... It's got something for action fans, comic fans, animal lovers, and even a little bit for the drama fans. It could be a solo watch, family movie, a date movie, and/or just a good time with friends. I think this trailer rocks.
Lois and Clark’s characters are done so well in just this little scene! Lois asks him the hard hitting questions, not just because she’s a great journalist, but because she knows the rest of the world will not throw Clark easy questions and she cares enough about him to prepare him for this sort of things. And of course Clark’s response is “people were going to die”. That’s who he is. You can always count on Superman to do the right thing, no matter who says he shouldn’t.
I loved Cavill as a darker superman, and I think he fit the world of the Justice League movies that was established at the time. But this?? This feels like a breath of fresh air, while honouring the tale of who Superman is and has been over the last several decades. I’m excited for David’s portrayal and how hopeful, and just GOOD he feels. His defensiveness and saying “People were going to die!” encapsulates his core - it doesn’t matter where he’s from, it doesn’t matter who he is, he has the power to protect people and will do so because he is the embodiment of what ‘humanity’ (as a characteristic, not just as a species) should be, despite not being human.
I've never been a big superman fan. Smallville was the only iteration I really resonated with, tho I did enjoy the animated series with Jack Quaid. But NGL, every time I see something new for this I'm more excited.
the chemistry and energy radiating from this trailer made the f4 trailer feel so flat and while im still looking forward to seeing f4 im definitely more hype for superman now
Absolutely loved your guys reaction to this trailer. This movie looks absolutely incredible. July can’t come soon enough. James Gunn definitely understands Superman and paying homage to Richard Donner and Zack Snyder with this movie. David is incredible as Clark/Superman just from this trailer as well as the rest of the cast as well. That interview scene between David and Rachel as Clark and Lois? Engaging as hell and take my money because their chemistry is so great.
This Superman, based on the trailer, looks like every Superman movie ever made rolled up into one. I see elements of the first 4 films (starting with Donner) to Man of Steel and Superman Returns.
I love how they only put in scenes where clark gets beaten and smacked to the ground, along with scenes where he saves people. this trailer shows his priorities when facing his enemies. The trailer wants you to root for him, to see the parts where he is winning and actually fighting back. The last part shows us a glimpse of it, a human cannonball attack straight down. This is genius.
Watching you guys watching this and reacting to it has heightened my excitement for Superman even more. I wasn't ready for emotion and nobody better harm his dog!!! Though he looks capable enough to protect himself. Can't wait! 😁👍🏻

Aaron rocking the Homelander shirt during the Superman trailer is something I didn't know I needed. Well done sir 👏🏾
1:38 When that trumpet plays ‘the theme’ oh man, that hit me hard.
This is the Superman we need. The alien that's more human than Bruce or Diana could ever be. Clark grew up on a farm with loving parents. He had chores, friends, animals, grew crops, had responsibilities. He understands real people and their struggles. He's a farm boy that just happens to be incredibly powerful.
that "hey buddy, eyes up here" line already makes this supes waaay better than the supes in snyderverse.
@@davidmichaelbabin1053 he doesnt , its a great line that says a lot about Superman , Funny and trying to prevent civilians getting hurt
@@davidmichaelbabin1053Look at yourself.
@@davidmichaelbabin1053 Nah, I like Man of Steel but man, the dialogue was hella boring in that film.
can you explain that line to me ? -- clearly I have no idea what that line means (or what Superman is referring to) and why you think its a great line.
@@peterbishop5155 Superman is probably talking to either the Kaiju or the Hammer , he says that to keep the attention on him to prevent people getting hurt , thats why he says "Eyes up here"
The voice change goes all the way back to Bud Collyer and the Superman radio show. He couldn't be seen, so when he became Superman, he lowered his voice. 'This looks like a job for....SUPERMAN!"
Superman actually has a personality this time😊
That opening interview dialogue between Lois and Clark I feel is going to be a lot of a conversation that we have about this films commentary, not just about the character of Superman but a lot of other things in general. I’m so pumped!
Intervention in foreign affairs...Superman's responsibility to the government...It's exactly the same as the commentary in Batman v Superman. But I'm sure you whined about that and said it wasn't faithful to the comics.
@@octogigasno it didn't
@@octogigas where do you get the idea I was being negative with my comment? What did I say that offended you so much?
@@OrionInSpace Oh, nothing. I'm just tired of people gassing up this movie as if it's doing something new and different when they whined about the exact same thing 5 years ago. It's a trend that I assumed you followed.
@@octogigasshut up, go cry somewhere else. All your comments are crying about people liking this and about it being done before already blah blah. Get a life outside of the comment section
To me the "interview" was to show this Lois is a real investigative reporter who asks the hard questions.
Rebellions are built on HOPE.
With F.F. and SUPERMAN both coming out this summer, we might just get it.
Guy Gardner doing Guy Gardner things 😂😂😂
Something tells me he's gonna be a fan favorite.
The haters gonna hate because that's just what they do... but this looks FANTASTIC and I am not a huge Supes fan. It made me tear up hearing that music I grew up with.
thats not superman . superman has never been a wimp like that guy
in the first trailer, when he got hit in the back of the head with a can, he blinked.
Already David corenswet is going to be my favorite Superman. He will show the fine balance of heroic and human side of the character.
this trailer is amazing, it evokes somewhat a toby macguire type super hero with the scene of the public helping superman! cant wait!!
The voice change and the intensity of it was incredible! Really have faith in this movie and I can't wait to see it.
Lex is screaming,"why wouldn't he die?" lol
I love how fluid the camera movement is and the tone is so perfect
True they're comic book fans that just hate anything new now, and then they're the anti-woke pple
As a comic book fan no. This super it was horrible, they worse trailwrnofnsuperman of all time.
@ lol
@@gamesh0w4life69 This is what Superman should be. Not Snyders version.
2:34 Mister Terrific is BIG chillin
This is the most interested I have ever been in a Superman project
Same
I guess it depends on the Superman you grew up with. I was introduced to him through "SuperFriends" on my Saturday morning cartoons, then Reeve's 78 Superman. The dark dreary version in Snyderworld was too serious and foreign to me. That works for Batman but not Superman. I'm very excited for Gunn's version. He gets it.
Modern Superman comics do depict him in a more serious tone than classical Superman.
I liked the arguing in the beginning. It made their relationship feel more real.
Will Reeve is in this. Christopher Reeve's son is in the new Superman movie. I have no idea who he is playing. …but him being in this is making me feel feelings.
This is Superman!
Everything about this movie just screams Superman, and I couldn't be happier as a Superman fan🥹😁🦸🔥🐕
I also love the visuals and the look of The Engineer's powers, which look so cool.
I can already tell Rachel and David's chemistry will be too cute, and Hoult is going to be an excellent Lex Luthor as he just exudes Lex's aura and the way he calls Superman as an "it" truly shows how deep his hatred goes
Watching this trailer gave me a twinkling feeling of joy that I hadn't felt since I was a child.
The true strength of a hero isn’t within their powers or tech, it’s within their heart.
This trailer legit put a smile on my face. 😊
metamorpho and terrific are two of my favorite comic characters literally tattoos of them soon i seriously cant wait for this movie😤
Guy Gardner using his ring to flick them
This makes me even more excited for Lanterns!
This one gave me goosebumps. Now I am in. I'm feeling the feels already.
I fear the lines at the cinemas bro
@@mantrakithat’s gonna show how hyped this movie is which is good as it’ll be successful
It’s also got something for romance fans with Clois
Lois and Clark’s characters are done so well in just this little scene! Lois asks him the hard hitting questions, not just because she’s a great journalist, but because she knows the rest of the world will not throw Clark easy questions and she cares enough about him to prepare him for this sort of things.
And of course Clark’s response is “people were going to die”. That’s who he is. You can always count on Superman to do the right thing, no matter who says he shouldn’t.
I don’t know how anyone can doubt this movie. What a beautiful and moving trailer
Movie is going to be fine. Only problem is that it's going to have strong competition with Jurassic Park.
I’m not sure why, but these Superman trailers have made me tear up. I’m beyond hyped for this movie!
dude Greg you shredded man, I need the diet tips lmao!
Looks to be the best trailer so far. The dynamic between Clark and Louise seems great
I've never been a big superman fan. Smallville was the only iteration I really resonated with, tho I did enjoy the animated series with Jack Quaid. But NGL, every time I see something new for this I'm more excited.
the chemistry and energy radiating from this trailer made the f4 trailer feel so flat and while im still looking forward to seeing f4 im definitely more hype for superman now
New Superman trailer on my birthday LETS GO
Absolutely loved your guys reaction to this trailer.
I’ve waited so long to see the DC Universe done right and James Gunn has truly given me hope for a new comic book inspired DCU
I absolutely CANNOT wait for this movie bro, most anticipated movie for this year
As a kid of the 80's, that's my Superman
This Superman, based on the trailer, looks like every Superman movie ever made rolled up into one. I see elements of the first 4 films (starting with Donner) to Man of Steel and Superman Returns.
So u agree nothing original
Nothing but a dog and a Godzilla monster.
Pa Kent got me in the feels and you absolutely love Ma Kent right off!
i love this channel but the talking / comments over the trailer drives me crazy because I'm like "YOU GUYS ARE MISSING DIALOGUE" lol
Rewatching this trailer with y'all and I'm still getting goosebumps!
I can’t remember the last time a trailer got me this emotional this feel like it’s from the animated series
So many people who don't know comics talk shit on superman and this looks like it shows the supes we all know and love. I'm so stoked.
forget the stupid recent commics about superman . i know in the coming year or two he will be gay look at the rate this character is being destroyed
Watching you guys watching this and reacting to it has heightened my excitement for Superman even more. I wasn't ready for emotion and nobody better harm his dog!!! Though he looks capable enough to protect himself. Can't wait! 😁👍🏻
I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but I believe I have now become as excited as COY about this upcoming show, which is incredible because I know that COY is about to explode out of his skin
Seriously though, Aaron rocking that Homelander shirt while everyone else is riding the Superman hope wave? Thats some legendary tier reaction performance right there 😂
“Eyes up here buddy” I’ve heard that a few times myslef 😅
I already adore his relationship with Lois. This trailer was beautiful. I'm so excited for this movie.
This. This is Superman. Just by the first couple lines that David Corenswet speaks, I instantly felt like he embodies truth, justice and the American way. He’s gonna be great!
I don’t think James Gun is going to change the world. But I loved how bright Coy’s face was glowing while watching that. It put a huge smile on my face. Honestly made me more excited ha
It’s crazy how so much Tyrone mangnus hates this movie without it even being out yet and claims to be a big Superman fan.
I love your reaction!!! No talking through the trailer, just completely focused & silent!!! Then gave your thoughts when the trailer was over 🔥🔥🔥
That's hard to do with a 4 person reaction! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💪🏽
Very well said Coy!
Great reaction. I always love the in-depth analysis you guys bring.
Greg looking like Superman, great work!
I was worried he looks gaunt.
This trailer is amazing and it made me even more hyped for this film. I Love all the shots when he's flying into the sky and falling, just amazing shots! He has personality, he looks like he Loves being Superman!
Okay, I'm not going to lie, I wasn't very excited for this movie based on the previous looks, but this one got me excited! This is probably the best *Clark* we've had in a while!
Just came here after watching the Ironheart one! Excited to see your reaction on this movie shaping up to be a masterpiece!
