The Chirp Wheel has become a staple in my daily rotation of recovery tools. I've been using the Chirp Wheel to roll my back, help with posture and even get in a great hip stretch. Anyone can benefit from a Chirp Wheel, but especially athletes who want to stay loose. As a triathlete and runner, I am severely lacking flexibility and often get very tight, so anything like the Chirp Wheel that helps keep me loose, will always have a permanent place in my nightly recovery routine.
I was sent this wheel for free from Chirp Wheel and some of the links in this description are affiliate links and helps out the channel at no cost to you :)

I have used my chirp wheels every day for two weeks. Seriously I thought I would never be able to get that “lean back in a high school desk” back pop. Now imagine that x10. My back feels like I’m 15 again. Good stuff.
Thank you for this comment!!!! I have been searching for the same kind of “lean back in a high school” back pop!! Just because of this comment, I just purchased a set!
This is the EXACT type of reference I was looking for!! Buying!
LOL I remember that pop 🤣Use to do the same....look into a chiropractor technique called Y Strap. Videos don't do it justice. You're welcome 😊
LOL I used to do that too on the desk in High School!
I haven't been able to replicate that pop since high school. I thought I was the only one that did that. 😂
I received the medium Chirp Wheel for Christmas; I’ve been meaning to use it but kept forgetting to go online and find a how to video.
I watched a couple of instructional videos but got distracted. Long story short, your video was suggested by Google’s I’m tracking you algorithm and I decided to watch it. Thank you for your wonderful review and tips on how to use it. You’re relaxed attitude and calming voice allowed me to actually focus and listen to you, so thank you.
Thank you! I appreciate that. Glad the video helped.
@@RunningWithDusty You are welcome.
I’m loving the Chirp Wheel thanks to you. 👍🏼
@@RunningWithDusty
I agree with Marco. Your video is way better than any other one I’ve seen. My biggest problem is my neck. Constant pain even after my chiropractor visits. Does the Chirp do anything to help eleviate the neck?
Agreed - really appreciated his vibe in this video! I have been enjoying my wheel so far but this gave me some new ideas for how to use it (sometimes finding 3 minutes a little long for it tbh)
@@777sicilia see a physical therapist or something. They will help strengthen muscles and show you stretches that will fix the problem. Cracking is temporary relief. I’m too Lazy to but that’s my advice .
The wait is worth it. The only one available when I purchased was the smallest deep tissue shell. I felt pain relief immediately
I received a set as Christmas present, it's been sitting idle till today. I had a bit of sore back and used it for the first time, loved it.
I got all 3 recently and use all of them everyday. I start with the largest and then down the line. It relieved my neck pain almost immediately. I can’t say enough good things about them. Amazing...
I just got a set of 4 - there's an itty-bitty one now, it's tough to use as a roller because it likes to eat up my shirt, but it delivers such focused pressure that I just want to lay on it for a minute or so, scoot it up my spine, and work up to the nape of my neck. Also, if you have longer hair, you want to tie it up REAL good and high. These little buggers are hungry. I learned that painful lesson immediately.
I wasn't sure if I was using the bigger ones ideally, I read their little blurb and got to it. I wanted to check my technique and this is the first review that came up, and I use them exactly the same way. My job requires a lot of leaning over my work bench and lifting, and an old back injury from retail doesn't help anything.
Every time I use them my body starts buzzing from the tension that's targeted. Worth every single penny.
The little "posture corrector" thing they included was not so great. It's literally a backpack without the pack. It doesn't even fit me because it's too small at its largest option, the straps cut off the circulation right at my armpits lol
I'll try reaching out to them. That will be interesting.
UPDATE: Talking with Chayce was a treat. I even managed to catch him again when I wanted to clarify some of the intensity of the return policy ("Products & packaging must be returned in like new or used condition" & "shipping fees will not be refunded") I can return just the item I won't use for a partial refund, the only packaging it had was a zip-top bag with a sticker on it.
Now I just have to find the damn thing.
You look & sound trustworthy, I’m sold !
Thank you. I saw this on Shark Tank last night and was thinking of getting it. Now I will!
I still haven't seen the episode! I need to check it out. Enjoy the Chirp Wheel :)
If you can't afford the $100, just stuff two tennis balls into a sock, tie a knot that keeps them in there tight, then roll on them one ball on each side of your spine. Voila! I've been doing it for years and it works like a charm.
Orrrr.. just buy the chirp wheel.
@@jamessadik9478 Missing the point entirely.
@@jamessadik9478 I agree with Vanessa. Not everyone can afford a piece of plastic for 100$. These chrip wheels should be 30$ tops.
@@jamessadik9478 I actually made my own with a small PVC pipe, cut to my liking and covered with hospital stretch tape, works way better than my friends 4inch chirp wheel and spend less than $12.00
@@XykuJoxa They can't be that cheap, since advertising and shipping take up a ton of margin. Plus all the R&D that goes into them.
Hey, thanks for the review video. You have a way. You actually made me comfortable with my decision. Thanks, again.
Ordered all three. Been waiting 2 months. Coming in 6 days. I need it bad. I use to use a traction table once a month at my chiropractor. With everything shut down I think this will fit the bill. Even better I think with all three wheels and I can use it every day. So excited. Just looking at it work, I can tell my spine will love it. I’ll follow this up with an update if I can find this post again.
Cane in about two weeks ago. About a week earlier than they said. Best thing I ever got for my back. I started off with the largest wheel. I use it in the morning and just before bed. After about a week I really started noticing a difference in my spine. Amazing!
Awesome to hear it's working for you!
Just ordered a set. I can’t wait!
Let me know what you think!
Hey man could you do a video on effective ways to use the foam roller? I think I might get a chirp wheel now thanks 👍🏻
I will add it to my list! Thanks for the idea
This was such a well thought out review! Simple and to the point. I’ve been using my chirp wheel the past week and your tips help!
Thank you!
Great review! One of my clients recommended this to me so I'll have to purchased one now after watching this.
WARNING: 6" version has a known design flaw and can crack across the entire length. Chirp acknowledges the issue but says that wheels breaking underneath people during use is what the 10-year warranty is for -- I've had two break, and asked for a refund instead of a third. It took months to get the OG replacement. I sincerely hope they can make a 6" wheel that can support a 210lbs male one day. **Please note, they had a flat v1 version prior to this one. It was made of a much stronger material and I still happily have and use those -- especially now that there isn't a safe 6" option.
Do you think it’s worth it to get the 10”?
I ordered this and am looking for some instructional videos and yours is the best any tips other than what you shown
Thanks James! I don't think I have any other tips. I have been using it regularly for a couple of months now and all it takes is a few minutes a day on it to keep me feeling loose.
I just ordered a set, won’t come in until June, I can’t wait. Not much out there on RUclips about it.
Awesome! Let me know what you think when you get it
Same. I just ordered yesterday
Same here!!! They sent me an email that it won’t ship till June 25th 🙄I could be dead from back pain by then!
I ordered on April 15th, and it's just coming today. I have some bulging discs and really hoping this helps!
Same!!! I ordered it April and it still hasn’t come! It’s supposedly on its way but at this point who ever knows 🙄
My chirp comes tomorrow!! Been waiting like month for it. Very stoked!!!
Awesome! I think there are a lot of people who have been waiting to get theirs. Hope you love it
So how is the chirp? Fix the tight back muscles?
How is it?
I feel the chirp wheel is better than a foam roller. I have all three sizes but like the 6" the best. With the 6" I can do anything I would do with a foam roller . It allows more pressure.
I just got the 6" last week and I prefer it over the medium wheel too
Hey did it hurt your lower back?? I have experienced for the first time in using chirp wheel and probably it definitely hurt my lower back because the emphasis of that wheel towards my bone...
Thanks for the info I ordered the full set as a birthday gift for myself and when it arrived it has zero instructions on proper use
is it gonna take a while for you to get it? I'm seeing a couple comments saying their order is gonna take a month or so
Jarol Kingsman I got mine in like 3 days total
Thanks, hope you love it!
@@animationcrate Me too.
What brand are your joggers?👀😂
You don't like them?? :( lol
They are from Janji, they make a bunch of run apparel.
They're dope haha I think I'll get some
I was wondering the same thing! They look so comfortable!
Just ordered! Thank you for this review!
Hope you enjoy it!
which size is good for the neck and shoulder joints pain, I don't have lower back pain, mostly pain areas are middle of shoulder plates and neck head joint. So which size would be good for me. Does the crack sound come for the neck one also?
I have only used the medium sized one so I can only speak to that. It works well for me but I would imagine the small one may be better because it's more intense/deep. Maybe someone who has all of them can comment below?
Hey! Awesome video. Would this tool help stretch the psoas muscle as well?
I believe so. Being on the Chirp is like doing a bridge movement which is good for psoas. Maybe someone who knows better than I can comment on this post for you. Help someone!?
@@RunningWithDusty Cool thank you! Yes would appreciate anyone else's input?
2:22 he lost balance lol
Thank you this was very helpful
My mid back and neck feel like they need an adjustment. Would this help me put my spine back in place?
@@alaylaanajacks5647 thank you
Anyone with forward head posture, does this help correct it?
Hi isit easy to use?
You could do the same thing using a 5 gallon bucket! Wrapped foam around it if needed!
My wife would not approve of a 5 gallon bucket sitting in the corner of our living room haha
@Iaxerunlimited Can you please explain what the groove does? Thank you.
I got dizzy using it
Great Intro Video.
Thanks!
Please tell me the brand of those pants
I bought some pants of similar material over at Marshall’s, they’re pretty comfortable when using them to workout.
What are the pants you’re wearing? I’m looking for workout clothing and those pants look mighty comfortable!
Hi Joshua, sorry for the late reply. They are pants from Janji. I don't believe they make the same model any longer (but may have something similar?). They are super comfy!
The concept of this product is great but the product is almost as bad as the customer service. I have three (THREE) 6" wheels that are all broken. Two of them are replacements that broke the exact same way. I had to wait for the first replacement almost a month because "they are waiting for the manufacturer to ship the new ones. However, both the first and second replacement that I received where stamped with the same number (.i.e. were from the same run as the first one). Now, I've been waiting since May 4th for the third replacement of the 6" wheel. I was told on May 8th that "Currently individual wheels are arriving later that the 3 wheel packs. June 8-11th is our planned date to whip out individual wheels and replacements." Well since June 11th I've sent three unanswered emails. Did you catch the fact that they still have wheels to sell to new buyers but their "guarantee" takes a pretty substantial back seat... In the mean time, I've had to resort to using the 10" wheel since I do not have a 6" that is not broken. Well, as it turns out, the center line on the 10" wheel that I have is off. Didn't know that because I didn't use it because I used the 6" wheel. Anyway, Because the center line of the 10" wheel is off / inconsistent, it can sometimes just fall over while I or my wife have our body weight on it. FYI, that hurts. If it's not falling over, it tracks to one side or the other (doesn't stay centered on your spine) which can also be painful. I'll love to share that with them as well as get an update on my third 6" replacement wheel but I guess they are two busy shipping out new purchases to respond to emails. I'd post pictures of my three broken wheels here but I don't think that it will let me but I'll just copy this over to twitter, instagram and facebook and put the pictures there. #chirp #chirpwheel #chirpwheel+ #chirpwheelsucks #customerservice
How much do you weight?
At that time, 280lbs so I was far from the 500lb rating. They didn't break due to weight. There was a manufacturing issue that they say has been fix.
How easily does it pop you? I'm tough to pop at the chiro because of muscle tension and I'm hoping these will help!
It pops me everytime! I have a small wheel coming to me soon and I have a feeling it will work even better than the medium sized wheel.
As soon as I laid on mine this afternoon I popped in places I’d been trying to pop for years. Finally, some relief! Virtual teaching has wrecked my upper back the past year, and this works miracles.
@@suaveamante620 wow that's great to hear! What size did you get? I finally got myself the small size and I find it works the best. My wife can finally get her back to crack now too
@@RunningWithDusty Thanks Dusty. Do you think I should order the small one if I'm trying to save money or.get all 3? You're an All Star. Thanks.
@@TheMancYank I would probably just go for the small one. I don't have all 3, just the small and medium sized wheels and I don't think I would use the large one at all.
Go for the small one!
Is this good for someone with a bulging disk?
Chirp Wheel doesn't claim to cure herniated discs but I know a lot of customers say it helps
Anyone else get an ad for the Chirp Wheel on RUclips while trying to watch this video?
Did the company send it to you for free, or did you purchase it ?
Free its in the description bit
What kind of watch are you wearing in the video?
Looks like the Samsung Active 2. I could be wrong, though.
I have one, and highly recommend it.
I’m 6’2 275… yes over weight… i’m generally athletic but these things hurt. I wish it was wider so it was easier to balance on. In my case it requires a lot of stomach muscles to use… I’ll keep working on it but I’m skeptical
Did it get any better?
I purchased a while set, no pop. I think this is for more skinny people.
Video starts 2:15
thank you for this review!
I like your pants. Where did you get them?!
Thanks! They are from Janji
Does your back pop when you use it?
Everytime!
@@RunningWithDusty good Ive got scoliosis and rounded shoulders. Idk how many positions technique s and stretches Ive done to relieve pressure
How well does it work for lower back pain?
Mine just came after waiting a couple of months. I love it
Awesome to hear! What size did you get?
Dusty Spiller Triathlon I got the set of all three. During the stay at home I have been losing weight, about 25 pounds, and getting my body straightened out. Feeling better and more energetic and the wheels are now a part of a daily routine
@@robinmendelson5512 that's great! Is the small wheel quite a bit more intense than the medium wheel? I've been thinking about adding the small one.
Dusty Spiller Triathlon like I said I just received it, they are on back orders. But the little I’ve used it it is more intense. My quads are quite stiff so one of the things I am doing is I sit on my knees and I put the wheels behind me and I lean back little by little to stretch out the muscles. I’m working with all three wheels at this time, largest to smallest. I am looking at all kind of RUclips videos and things to do with the wheel but it also comes naturally as you work with it to the neck stretches. So it’s just not my back that I’m using it for it’s also all my other muscles. But it was definitely worth the money that I spent for it. I really really like them.
Great vid! Might try that in the future.
Check my patented interchangeable foam roller side wheel! It offers new height control for foam rollers plus you can grab hand grips on the wheels for extra control on stretches. It’s an invention that shoulda been around decades ago. Keep your foam roller clean on any surface outdoors / adds non slip tread and better stability. So many advantages. It even makes tread roll slower and extends length of back stretch by double start to finish based on physics of larger wheel on smaller diameter roller.
Prevents shirt from getting caught under. Plus offers full body training and band mounts.
I’d be down to send you 1 to review. Been tryin to license 4 yrs and every brand refuses it so I started making kits to sell online. The wheels are really good quality. Super durable. Thanks
