Congrats on your soon to be addition, get ready for very little sleep. Lol. I am planning on getting this figure. I think it’s not the skin color. It’s the costume that’s off. Which is maybe you think the tone of the skin is off. That’s pretty close to the comic skin tone. The green on the uniform is just too flat. Also they should have taken some liberties and I would have given her either boots or went all in with feet. The slippers look weird. The costume needs more ivy leaves. I love this hush line. I also love the reign/return of Superman figures. That knightfall line is looking good too.

You raised some good questions about this figure and the price tag is way too high for what you get.
Definitely going to wait for a deal.

The lack of accessories and the price are definitely my biggest sticking points, yea. Great figure for sure, but 100% wait for a sale, I agree.

6:26 _Yeeeah,_ the skin is like the middle of an Andes mint, but way way more diluted with white. The DC Direct Hush Ivy definitely got it right...from almost 20 years ago. People have pointed out the small chest, oddly proportioned torso, even the cankles (well, maybe that one was just me), but no one's pointed out the skin colour is wrong.
Mafex prides themselves on doing a precise look from a specific source, but why do they making these hasbro-esque blunders all the time? And at _this_ price. All their figures used to be $59.99 on Big Bad (Never mind the lower cost of getting 'em straight from Japan), then once they started making comic figs, the retail price skyrocketed - and have been going up like $10 every 5 months.

It's not a deal breaker, but if even a casual comic reader like myself can notice that immediately, you know you should have done a bit better. As far as prices go, I imagine it's a mix of inflation and licensing fees that's driving them up like that.

Interesting how the pendulum swings when it comes to Mafex releases. I started in 2019 with ESB Fett - back when there were still a lot of complaints about their figures. Totally fell in love with that release. Then got a part 2 RoboCop, and then started gettin' their Marvel/DC comic stuff. They started getting praised like no other, then a hiccup would occur like Venom.
Then things started becomin' more consistently disappointing; like Carrie Kelley Robin, Psylocke, Thor, etc. Maybe we just got spoiled with releases like Spider-Man, Batman, and Gambit. This is definitely the best 6" Ivy we've gotten, but not a lot to choose from. So it's pretty damn good, it's just not as good as it could've been.

Yea I can understand that. In the short time I've been collecting them, I haven't run into many that I've had any major issues with. Psylock is a bit fiddly though for sure. I got my wife the Endgame Thor for Christmas, and his arms are a bit loose, so I guess that counts too lol.

Psylocke was just too short for my liking. And I think the faces are a bit basic - like doesn't capture that Jim Lee look as well as Select's. Even though it's huge, that's the one I have displayed with my Legends X-Men. I just keep them on a flight stand to obscure the height.

@@Chalor. Yea she's definitely a bit undersized for sure. I originally had the Revoltech one, and she was even smaller, so it is what it is lol.
