- Road trip from Jerome to Perkinsville to Williams. North of Perkinsville the route is along Fire Road 354, including portions of the Great Western Trail. This portion of the trip is best accomplished with a high clearance, 4-wheel drive vehicle.

I did drive from Williams to Jerome in my Acura RDX and loved it. Hope to relive it with this video.

Thanks, I was born and grew up in Prescott, farmed in Chino, lived in Flagstaff, but never managed to drive the Perkinsville road.

Thank you posting this. We're coming out of Valle on our way to Phoenix. We had planned on driving straight down through Perkinsville to Jerome.
I don't think my little compact rental car would've liked the trip. For that matter, Neither would my wife.
Perkinsville Williams to Jerome is easy-peasy for passenger cars. Just smooth, hard-pack dirt with some washboard. John Kindle took Fire Road 354 which is is a back way from Perkinsville road to Whitehorse recreational area. It shoots through a mining area and is suitable only to higher clearance vehicles.
There used to be a or I.itive road from the Broadmoor to Victor around the south side of Pikes Peak. It was not just good manners but a life saver to honk your horn in hairlpin corners, rock gouged where there was no shoulder, ditch to take. Now it is widened and grandma could drive it.
