But since you’re watching the 2021 Competition, I urge you to listen to Aimi Kobayashi’s first and second round performances. She is utterly transformed since the 2015 Competition, and her playing is the most beautiful I’ve heard since Kate Liu. That’s my highest compliment. 😎🎹
@@marshallartz395 I ve listened the first round and i am going to listen her second round as well... She played the antante spianato which Kate played in 2015 and it was one of the best recordings ever.. (in my opinion this interpretation by Kate was the best rendition ever of this piece)... I agree with you.. Aimi was fantastic in the first round, I think she will be a prize winner this year most likely a medalist.. We have to wait her interpretation on the concerto.. I also like Tomoharu Ushida from Japan.. Very passionate..
@@bpat74: Kobayashi’s 2nd Round recital is even better than her 1st Round. Her Andante Spianato & Grande Polonaise is the best since Kate Liu’s. And her 3rd Round performance of the Préludes was magnificent. You will love it. Aimi is the one to beat this year. 😎🎹
