When I was a kid I used to watch the original over. When I found it swapped channels I thought it was a reboot so in my mind; both shows were alternative realities if the same world. When I found out it was a sequel that changed hands I tried to rewatch it with that mindset but I couldn't do it. It didn't feel like the original. A good example is like watching the Powerpuff Girls and then watching the Power Puff Girls 2016. It just doesn't have the same feel. But as reboots/alternative worlds it works.
Disney's Doug is like someone took a vacuum and sucked out all the fun out of Nickelodeon's Doug, then spat out the bones. Kind of like what happened with Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon, but much less disturbing.
17:13 Oh that "Ha!" was hilarious! 19:11 The Real Ghostbusters at its best was way better than Doug. It was aside from Disney's Aladdin series my favorite cartoon based on a movie. Sadly by the time Doug had started it was winding down and while they had their shining moments the last few seasons were not that great. The original 78 episodes with a few exceptions are still awesome though, and better than most of the Nicktoons for me.
I barely remember Disney's Doug, & have never watched the movie. I'm bummed to find out that Doug & Patti never become an item. Lmao, why all the hate for Mr. Bone? 😂😂😂. Lol, I remember when I watched the original series, as a kid, I used to think Mr. Bone was voiced by Don Knotts.
9:49 Charlie Brown is the better cartoon the dry sarcasm is hilarious and all the characters are relatable. Also, it wasn't afraid to show characters losing or feeling depressed. Doug os just cutsey. CB was only cutesy sometimes.
@José Lucas No Ed Edd and Eddy is a great cartoon both are completely different styles of humor. If you read the strip a lot of them are absolutely hilarious.

@José Lucas I did. Did you look at the links? Personally, I think comeuppance should be a sometimes thing. Sometimes people do get away with things and life sucks. It makes the humor a bit less predictable.

And Put The Life into Pepper Ann
Disney's Doug: This time, there really was a bomb in the Lasagna!
