I got mine in December 2022. It's great for getting around the city (and got better once I put a MetaRack One in "the void"). I only use Sport Mode when I need to get out ahead from a light-never use it at top speeds due to the issue you mentioned. I don't rely on getting more range than 50 miles, but as I am rarely more than 15 miles from home, it's a non-issue. Overall, I'm happy with it. There are some oddities, but after the rebates it was $4250. And it's so, so, so quiet.
Bro I don't know anything about bikes or ebikes. But I ordered one of these when they had the special sale a few months ago. I should have it by the end of the year. But my first thought was why didn't they just fill that space with battery for more range? I'm hoping some third party makes a battery that will fit that spot to add some distance. I'm hoping to use mine to get to and from work. It's 20 miles exactly and literally all highway. So I'd be going 40-55 the whole way. I'm hoping it can make it.
This Metacycle costs 6.5k and I've seen several Zero FXS bikes that are 7.2kwh and a faster top speed for 7.5k new locally. You can get a zero DSR 14.4kwh new for 15k which is the same range as the Livewire that is 23k. I've seen used DSRs go for as low as 9k out of state. Getting a used DSR for under 10k is the best deal in electric motorcycles if you can find it.
If it’s like other bikes the speedo could be off, we have one of those radar “slow down “ Signs by our place and you get accurate speeds by that thing. Every ebike and e/motorcycle I have risen have been off.
I do not think that this bike comes to the level of the bike that you make yourself in terms of speed, and there are many unknowns around it. If you put another battery in it, it would be better. Thank you for your efforts.
Sure the bike is nice but Sondors is an unethical company that took my money in 2021 and in spite of many calls and emails today I have no bike no refund. Don't let them do this to you.
Chinese junk. Front shocks start leaking at 100 miles. Power cables detach from the frame and start rubbing on the rear wheel. Seat isn't cushioned - I'm 180 and the seat goes immediately flat under my ass and now I'm sitting on metal. And now the word on the street is that Sondors will file for bankruptcy and close up shop, leaving zero support for these bikes - as if Sondors ever provided much after-sale support to begin with.
@@V-Pee I would not. I would say it's a waste of 1k. And......who gives a shit? It's not 1k it's 8k! Oh and you won't actually get the bike. Good deal.

I ride the Metacycle at 70 - 80 mph very often thinking I must be going 50 mph but it's pretty smooth. Easy to get lost in speed.

Zero has horrible customer service. The company. Not necessarily the dealers. They don't stand behind their products.

Not bad I have the unlocked version, it’s for sale too, bike is amazing, there are e-bikes that cost way more and this one is super fast.
What do you mean unlocked version?
@@RandySpeer I modified mine, now it goes true 80mph, fast start and no timers like the original ones
How much are you asking?
Where do you live?
Sorry bike has been sold, I only do the unlocking of the MEta now if anyone is interested@@mikeskutches1018
how much you asking?
That hole in the frame is definitely a waste of battery space
Ikr storage too
The battery was originally supposed to be a block you can easily pull out and swap. Sadly they changed that
No that battery is heavy af and it would throw it off balance
I agree they need to cover the hole with some kinda covering.
naw
Looks like Sondors is going out of business.
I heard the same. Hopefully their Chinese factory partner that they burned sells the bikes they have in their warehouse at a discount!

You say, "Its a bike for beginner riders" but you're bothered because it won't sustain 80MPH.....
front wheel tread is backwards!

Hey Hey Tommy boy!
Not cool on top speed situation
Yes buts it's premium

total scam. Avoid like the plauge
if it was $1k you wouldn't say that
