Congrats , Some info on the RS wash the brakes so they stop making noises/dirt and dust gets inside easy and let the car warm up before driving it, the blue engine light on the dash will go away then she's ready to drive(This give time for the trans oil and eng oil to get to temp. If you still have the valves, open them on start up and they will stay open. If you open them when driving they will not open till high RPM and then close.
Interesting point on the valve controller. It does still have the valve but I can’t seem to get it to stay open all the time. It seems to always close once the car is warm and then only opens around 4k RPM. To fix this, I’m having an aftermarket valve controller installed this week
Well done, you'll love it. Probably the best RS all round yet made and real world there is no difference between this and the 992 GT3 RS e.g. 991.2 GT3 RS Fig 8 - 22.0 s, 0.98 avg g, 1.19 lat g, Cup2 R, braking from 60 mph 92 ft, 1/4m 11.0 @ 127.6 mph 992.1 GT3 RS Fig 8 - 21.9 s, 0.97 avg g, 1.18 lat g, Cup2 R, braking from 60 mph 92 ft, 1/4m 10.9s @ 126.8 mph (data from motor trend). Enjoy in good health.
I’ve heard mixed opinions on this. I’ve talked with 2 people that have the 992 GT3 RS. One said it’s virtually the same car. The other said it’s worth the upgrade 🤷🏼♂️
@@HySpeed1 No difference on public roads, if you do a lot of track time and have access to a fast open circuit it might be worth it if you're a very good driver. The difference around a 1min.30s circuit in my hands was 0.6s-0.7s (between 991.2 GT3 Rs and 992 GT3 RS). Also have done 5 seasons of Cup racing over the years - I didn't think the "upgrade" was worth it, unless you simply want a newer car. I ended up getting a 296 GTB instead and kept the 991.2 GT3 RS. 😀
@@VK6AB- Now we’re talking… What an epic combo of cars. Very cool to hear your opinion given the experience with cup cars. The 992 has the shiny object effect given it’s still relatively new. I plan on keeping my car for the foreseeable future. I love it. Plain and simple. My wife loves Lambos though so maybe we will add a bull to the collection one day for a date night car
I have a miami blue. My buddy has a silver. The silver looks so good on the road. And you're right about the PCCBs, more desirable, and will increase resale in the future. Can always swap out for steels if you want to track a lot.
I’m another 991.2 silver GT3RS owner - got mine in May. Replaced the center exhaust like you - otherwise stock. You’re going to love this car. True, the buckets are annoying if you do a drive with lots of stops - getting in and out is slightly annoying. Only other thing I’ve found is that the car is kind of overkill for the street. Eg - the car sounds best at 7000++ RPM and it’s hard to get there on a public road unless you drive around all day in second gear! Hence- why I’ve taken up going to the track (with instructors) once a month I’d strongly recommend that if you weren’t already considering tracking the car that you do so. Otherwise you might find it a little frustrating on the road as it’s a pretty darn fast car. Either that or you’ll lose your license.😮
Thanks for the comment, sounds like we are like minded. Silver is the best color outside of PTS options IMO. Hot take, but it suits the car so perfectly. It certainly is overkill for the streets. I plan to track the car in the fall! Will post videos here when that happens.
Yes, good catch. Front lift was up. I actually believe that the car has been lowered. It’s especially noticeable in the rear axle, the fitment is nice and snug which I like a lot
❤😂🎉🎉🎉😢😮😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 congratulations on that awesome GT three Porsche now your son can say daddy let’s go for a ride. That car is so awesome. Take care of it. ❤😂😢😮😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 and you’re a smart man cause you picked the Porsche instead of a piece of junk Corvette or Ferrari Porsche. There’s no substitute but Porsche and there is a race next Sunday the 22nd and hopefully the Porsche will win their championship again. Take care of that loving nice Porsche.
I thought the same thing, but was told by dealer that white smoke on cold starts is normal and nothing to worry about. Sometimes it smokes, sometimes it doesn't.

@@HySpeed1 You need to open them on start up and never close them
They close automatically below 4k rpm even with the exhaust button activated. The valve controller I’m having installed seems to be the fix for that

It's funny, I'm a broke version of you. I have a Podium1 but with 32 inch monitors and a 991.2 GTS. Youre goals, brother. Great content.
No way! All of the setups from P1 are epic. GTS 991.2 is a beautiful car congrats

Was the front lift up in the first few minutes of the video? Looks a bit high at the front. Beautiful car though, congrats!!
