DAILY DHIKR TO REMEMBER ALLAH (subhanahu wa ta'ala) 1 - SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi, Subhan-Allahi 'l-`adheem (Glory be to Allah, and Praise, Glory be to Allah, the Supreme) Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two words are light on the tongue, weigh heavily in the balance, they are loved by the Most Merciful One." [Sahih al-Bukhari; #7:67, Sahih Muslim, #4:2071] 2 - La Hawla wa la Quwatta illa Billah (There is no Might or Power except with Allah) [the above is] a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.[Sahih al-Bukhari; al-Fath al-Bari #11:213, Sahih Muslim #4:2076]
Plz correct me if I am wrong, we can give sadaqa and at the end of the year if you left money then you have to pay zakat.. Phophet PBUH use to give sadaqa and never accumulated the amount of wealth for zakat.
Actually the other way, zakat is a must for us, one of the 5 pillars of islam. Especially for those with posession of land, saved up money or gold, even people with a low or tight budget are able to give money, as long as they don't live in poverty or very harsh times. The amount of the money is usually the 40:1 rule. Let's say your saves and your gold jewelry are worth together 4000, if you apply 40:1, that would make an amount of 100€/$, it's the minimum amount of what you can give according to what you have, of course you can give even more, that's the reason there is not a solid number to choose from, people who only have 400 left for example, only would give 10 bucks, that's the beauty of islam, it's not meant to hurt or push us in anyway. Sadaqa is the one that you can freely choose the amount of, and also to whom you give and when, but it's usually every year, it's literally up to you, the 40:1 rule doesn't apply to it.

Just try giving sadaqah whenever you can, zakat can be done several times throughout the year
can someone plz explain to me the difference between sadaqah and zakat ☹️
Zakat is a determined amount at specific times while Sadaqah is optional and can be done whenever and in any amount
