This Spenser beach? I just Google Map the area, and WOW the coast is SO developed from when I lived there 36 years ago. It was mostly McCandless Ranch lands with locked gated, and roads in requiring 4x4. I had friends who had keys to gated so was pretty cherry. KIholi Bay was one of my favorite places on Earth back then. I havenʻt been back all this time. I should go visit before I makeʻ. Mahalo nui for another great vid. I LOVE micro fishing and using ultralight gear. I must have close to a dozen ultralight outfits.
This is over by the shipping containers by the big heiau. I bet the fishing was even more prime back then.. mahalo for all your stories I remember a few of your comments from older videos. 🤙🎣
I liked in this video how you showed that not every cast you catch a fish. I think sometimes people watch these videos and think you catch a fish every cast.
Anything that will bite really. We’ve been doin whipping at the beach and dunking at a pier with Walmart gear hooked up some but thinking of upgrading our gear...
I was wondering the same thing about castmaster split rings...might just be laziness on the company side...cause I saw it all the time when I used to work west marine hono

Mahalo! Try to add a bit of knowledge as we can, helps me learn a lot too.
how do you work the castmaster?
Cast um out and reel it as fast as you can without it coming out of the water, keep your pole pointed down.
What do u recommend for a rod and reel combo on the on the hifishgear.com? Which ones goes together?
What kind of fishing you going for?

Pretty cool man, I did not know that Mesquite grew over there. Are you allowed to use wood off the beach for fires and to cook with?
Yea people cook with them all the time, smoker with them is amazing.
I know this isn’t a catch and cook episode, but do you ever sweat getting Ciguatera poisoning from the reef fish?
