My favorite part of this sequence has always been the genuine vitriol in GLaDOS' voice when she realizes who Wheatley is. She has every reason to hate him, even moreso now that he's stolen her body and humiliated her. He's another reminder of the horrible shit the scientists did to her, and that really shows in her voice. Props to Ellen McClain for her incredible performance!
this song always made me emotional. . . wheatley's betrayal really did feel scary and like a stab in the back, and this just amps it up. very good remix! i listened to it a lot when i was younger

The lighting is pretty neutral,dark and grey, but when weathley takes over it all changes to white (not to mention how well it mixes with the music) it gives you a feeling of victory, security and success. The white lighting is the cherry on top since it really helps with how you feel in that moment. But then everything gets fucked once he gets corrupted.
Guerindacio it really feels like the lighting in the central ai chamber reflects the feelings of the central core. The only light during the core transfer is dim light provided by the hanging lamp, red sparks & things in the transfer itself, and dim, deactivated red panel lights. When the transfer is complete, the lights are bright again, the panels rearrange themselves and their light is blue again, like a complete reboot. When Wheatley turns evil, the panels turn red, and the light is dark.
