- Ouchi-juku is located in Oaza-Ouchi, Shimogo-machi, Minamiaizu-gun, Fukushima Prefecture.
It was the name of a "half farmer, half inn" on the Aizu West Highway in the Edo period.
Although it lost its status as an inn during the Meiji period (1868-1912) with the opening of the railroad, it is still used as a common name for the village with its rows of thatch-roofed houses along the highway, or as a tourist attraction.
In 1981, it was selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and has become one of Fukushima Prefecture's representative tourist destinations.
