    Stylishly ghetto!
    It's very therapeutic watching others mod their cars after spending a long day in the workshop modding one of mine 😍

    There are various versions of why they are called NACA ducts, and various shapes as well.
    You could go to a plumbing supply and get a 90 mm pvc elbow for the end of your pipe. Put a bit of fly screen up the pipe just before the vent exit. ( Ask me how I know this ) Looks like something from Doctor Who.
    I went to Associated Plastic in Hobart and asked for some 3 mm poly carb. And was told that I needed 4 mm cause the car had 3 1/2 mm factory glass ( they'd done race car stuff before) . An 8x 4 sheet was at the top end of $500 cause it also had to be scratch resistance stuff, and not the cheaper stuff.
    The guy said to drop in a front and back glass and he would sort something out for me, with off cuts. I was expecting to get a 3 or 4 random size bits back.
    Went to collect them. He had cut them all to shape, cut the emergence pull holes in both front pieces, Cut the holes for the sliders, Bevelled round every cut, and put the profile bend to match the factory curve in every piece. $280...

    Hey Matt, I have the same obnoxiously noisy fan in my car. It gets peoples attention in the pits.

      haha i'll bet, especially when it's attached to the roof, acts like a big metal dum skin haha

    Nice fan. Maybe incorporate the vents so they ‘clip’ over the roll cage.

      Yeah for sure, kind of what my design is looking like, just did a test print, wish I could post pics in the RUclips comments! Make sure you like the nug project FB page I'll post a pic on there if it works :)

      @@TheNuggetProject Nice work. In my car I used that 3" bilge pump in replacement of the OEM heater/AC fan and piped it to the floor and the OEM centre vents. Cause those fans blow so hard I got an Ebay 12v fan varible speed controller ($12) and it controls the fans speed. From little to lots. Keep it up man, your getting close.

    How long are you going to be in the car during a race?

    • @TheNuggetProject
      @TheNuggetProject  Год назад +1

      So races are anywhere from 15 to 30 mins normally but we are lined up on the dummy grid for quite a while plus warm up lap, gridding up, cool down laps, queing for weighing etc , it's not uncommon to be in the car for 45-50 mins all strapped in :)
