Father Dave your sermon brought back so many wonderful memories of my mom. We went together on a bus in 1979 and heard the pope say mass at Logan circle. We were close to the altar and experienced watching him closely during mass. I will never ever forget the police with sniper rifles on the roofs to protect him and most of all seeing the officers lined up on the white line in the road holding their rosaries. It was a picture made for the cover of life magazine. It was wonderful remembering my mom in such a special way this thanksgiving week. I’m thankful for you!
Happened upon you today on my way to another Utube channel to watch Mass. Decided to stop and check you out! Glad I did! Refreshing to find a Priest who can relate to today's issues and concerns. I feel guilty, although I'm 82 years old, I'm healthy and a shaker & mover! I started watching Mass on computer due to pandamic closing churches and have not gone back to in person church services. Several things in my life have found me marching to a bit of a different tune! I never miss Mass on Sunday & Holidays and contribute financially and thankful I can do so. You spoke a bit today about past issues in the Church and I was very active during that time period. I had a call to the Priesthood, two years in the Seminary, and realized it was a wrong number! 60 years ago! As you know, a lot has happened in those years, and not always favorable. I spent a 30 year career in Law Enforcement in NYS. Widower after 45 years of Marriage, four grown children. Now doing my best to enjoy my Golden ....sometimes rusty years! Keep up the good work Father. The Church needs more Priests like you to get us home to God. Bill NYPD & NYSDL Retired

When I was in grade school, every grade school😅 had to march in Christ the King parade. Afterwards, the Bishop would give this long sermon. All the kids would just be waiting, come on. Then the big announcement ... No school tomorrow! Everybody would cheer!

Pope John had an aura of holiness about him that was beautiful. I remember being in Barnes and Noble 30 years ago and buying a book authored by Cardinal Joseph Bernardin, I bought only because his photo on the book had that same aura. It was called The Gift of Peace. God bless you Father Dave
