This is really a highly valuable tutorial and please don't apologize for the length of the video. It's all in good faith and for a reason. I've scoured the internet and no one cared to talk about this. Thank you sir!
This really helped me with VLAN configuration and tagging in particular. I'm getting started with pfsense but will be looking into your videos on Untangle too. Thanks so much 👍🏼
Awesome video. All the other content creators get to nerdy and want to add to much flare. This is a perfect video for beginners like me. Subscribed and I will check out any videos you make. Thanks soooooo much.
If I was to do this vlaning like you have done here. With one port .. my isp is vodaphone U.K. and uses vlan911 for its own connection using pppoe would I just set up say re0.911 , I have pfsense up and running on a pc with 2 nic. But my new box only has one nic and no space to add a separate nic. Hope you understand. Thanks
I did the same as in your video but still not able to access pfsense web interface ☹️😒😒. I have a dell sff pc with ssd, single nic and hp office connect 1820-8g switch.
Interesting, I have a domestic router -> proxmox -> pfsense this works. I'm also double natting, but nothing gets out of pfsense, I have dmz-ed pfsense wan side, is that correct?
I want to thank Jason for his offline help. He was able to get me back up and running.
Was my pleasure helping !

thank you dear.😍
This is great! Thanks for the tutorial on this
Great video on vlans. Just learning atm
Clear concepts
Thank you sir, more coming ! :)
i will go for this set up than adding usb Lan Card. it is like configuring cisco router on a stick. I like it.
USB ethernet is very un-stable. Id rather do this method, OR install a dual / quat port nic. Thanks for watching !
Great Video !
Can i use the same switch for pfsense wan and for my other local vlan like iot and guest ?
Yes, if you set it up.
have you played with a similar configuration for ubiquiti switches. The whole Tagged/Untagged/Exclude usage but using UNIFI?
Only on the Edge Series, because doesn't need controller.
Thank you!
My Pleasure.

Did you ever do a video about pfsense rules based on the info on this video? I am thinking building a network similar to this.
Something is in the world in the next few days just waiting for new device to arrive tomorrow.
@@JasonsLabVideos thank you!!!
@@TismoGaming No problemo sir !
thank you for this video man , but it's better to have 2 nic's PC ! and hello from Kuwait ✌️
Depends on the goal, lots of people have successfully been running this type of setup for years :) Thanks for watching !

I try to avoid all double natting if i can 100% port forwards don't work & DNS can have lots of issues.
Thanks and hello from Moscow "-)
Hello back from Canada :) thanks for watching :)
My system is linking at 100mbps gigabit PC and switch why?
Because you have a 100mb switch ?
both machines are gigabit HP sff 10 gen and Aruba switch PoE gigabit, is driving me crazy
Then maybe cable issue@@jcholland1518

Not a good way to promote Pfsense using only one NIC. Consider adding for the home only with little traffic.
People were asking for the video so I did it, it does work. But i agree 2 nic's = better performance.
I appreciate your effort, but I'm following the tutorial and nothing works. I'm using D-link dgs-1210-20/me
Are you tagging & un-tagging the proper ports & creating trunk ports on the dlink ?
