Almar Winfield Hey, this was Skiba's third show in Blink (i guess). In this part he just concentrates to play and sings the songs correctly. If he stays around longer i'm sure he will be more active.

It's gonna be so hard for me to get excited for the new album without Tom in it... I am trying to be open minded and accept this new guy but this isnt the Blink I grew up with. The original trio will always be the true Blink for me, the style of each made Blink what it was. Lets see what this new era of Blink turns out, I am open to it.

I was here and i see all these people insulting Matt Skiba saying he is not worthy to take toms place. Tom did not want to take the time to make a new record, and mark and travis did not want to keep fans waiting. when tom ditched the musink fest they had to act quick becase they did not want to leave the fans hanging. so they got Matt Skiba and he killed it at musink best concert ive ever been to. So if you think that Matt Skiba is destroying Blink think again we are getting a new record, and great new singer, and Matt Actually wants to record!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I see why there are so many people defending Tom, it isn't easy getting used to your favourite band without a key member, but Mark and Travis seem so much more relaxed with Matt than with Tom and they sound a lot clearer live too

People are complaining about Matt. Do they realize that it was his 1st or 2nd show with the band ? Fuck, Tom had what 15-20 years to develop a chemistry and jokes and all on stage. Wait until Matt has like 6-7 months of touring as a member of blink. The jokes, the voice, the sound will be even better. He already sounds way better live than Tom anyway. I love Tom as anyone, but he didnt want to write music with Blink, had other priorities. So i'm glad Matt joined so we can hear a new Blink album that will sound better than Neighborhoods.

Consider the following...Blink 182 as most of you know them were not the same Blink 182 to begin with. Travis joined the band after Scott Raynor left. Look at what Blink 182 became after Travis joined the band. I'm not saying that same thing is going to happen now that we've got Matt Skiba replacing Tom. I'm also not saying that Blink 182 was terrible before Travis. I absolutely love Dude Ranch. But maybe, just maybe what if Blink 182 transcends into something none of us could imagine and becomes even better.

If a little bit of alkaline trio is pulled into the guitar, Travis on drums, with both mark and matts voices I feel like this will be a better blink, they are going to kill it. I have never cared for Tom since I and the rest of the crowd were vulgarly harassed by him in between Angels and airwaves songs for 40 mins, I always heard he was an a$$hole and I am inclined to believe it. the new blink trio are all amazing very talented and entertaining musicians, I think this is going to be awesome

Just accept it, Tom is matured and wants to pursue new musical interests. You don't have to diss Skiba. In my opinion Skiba is just as good if not better than Tom delonge. It may not be the same but it's the closest we can get right now.
If you say he's better then I have the right to diss, Tom has the reality and soul in this band... He may not be fit for the script anymore, but nobody has the same vibe as Tom...

aww...C'mon guuys. Pavarotti had a damn voice but on Blink he coudldn't do nothing. A Singer must have his own personality on his voice. Tom wasn't the best singer ever, but he was unique. He gave Blink personality with his weird way to sing (H sounded R) and this makes difference. Matt is nice, but Blink is Mark, Travis and Tom Show! We can proof Tom's genius with AWA. Dream Walker is fucking awesome. So, Fuck Up. Tom is the Best.
In retrospect, Matt's playing style doesn't fit Blink. He uses a much more lighter picking style than Tom. Tom used a much harder pick attack. Also, Matt's voice is a Baritone, just like Matt's Baritone, but a lot heavier and darker. I know Matt and Travis will get used to this change as time goes on, but, I don't ever see Matt or Travis repairing the friendship betwixt them and Tom. Matt should use all down strums for the heavier, faster songs and for the lighter "Acoustic" sounding songs, he should use up and down strums. Although Tom's not there, I still feel Matt is thinking of him, just thinking "Jesus Tom, why'd you screw up and leave?" And Matt's thinking "Yeah! This is my band! Fuck Tom. This is MY band". What's you guy's opinion on this?

Don't get me wrong. Alkaline Trio is my favorite band, and Skiba is the best replacement they could have possibly picked, but Blink182 just isn't as good without Tom. :(

I'm a massive an of blink but Tom dealings has totally ruined the band in the last 7 years....leaving and coming back and leaving. He also uses more effects than any pop punk band should use on his guitar. To all the people saying Tom will not be replaced as he was amazing guitarist..... He is a very VERY poor guitarist and vocalist and the only reason you think he's good is that you've never picked up a guitar, listen to my guitar videos and see I'm coming from experience. Matt skins is much better vocalist and guitarist and just wish he had been in from 7 years ago. Good look blink, an album from you 3 I think could totally revive you guys from just replaying old songs!!!

very true. the only mainstream punk bands worth mentioning are Blink and Green Day but they both went to shit. unknown punk bands like Descendents, Lillingtons, etc are/were better. AT is fucking terrible.
