I think that's a bug. I remember when they added that speed boost, they specifically said they were slowing down 3 speeds so the pistols wouldn't buff them too much. I think it just broke some time ago and it's so insignificant no one noticed (including me.)
Were 3 armors ever an issue? It seems the general consensus is they're too loud and clunky, so at least having the option to cover a whole .5 meters more in a 10 meter dash doesn't sound too bad

Upping your hp and losing a very small amount of speed, in a game where speed doesn't matter that much is just a good thing imo. All you need todo is be more mindful and quiet
i remember when ubisoft nerfed 3 speeds, they made them slower with their primary out but they would go as fast as their original speed with their pistol out. and they also sped up 3 armours but i forgot what patch that was
i’m only gonna use it on specific guns, the other 2 grips do vertical recoil and reload speed so if a gun has a quick ish reload and little recoil i’ll use it, kapkans smg being the gun that comes to mind

Allegedly they're trying to crack down more on mnk on console, and matching xim users with PC. Personally I started playing again this season after not playing at all since demon veil and only very sporadically since shadow legacy, made it to plat on ps again (was hardstuck plat before ranked 2.0) and even then the mnk is bad. Switched to PC mid February and about to hit emerald and have only encountered 1 cheater, and just the difference in the level of control you have I don't think I'll go back to console even if they fix the mnk issue

Yeah, this is useless. 5% movement speed bonus is barely noticeable over a large distance, let alone short distances when inside a building. There are very few situation where this will help you, but there are a lot of situations where having 20% more recoil will hurt you because you're not using the vertical grip.
Wtf is the point of all this? I swear Ubisoft is the worst in decision making. The have totally ruined the premise of what Siege was supposed to be. Too far gone now to go back to the original tactical shooter. I think it's time for a new PROPER Siege successor and by a different PROPER developer!
honestly not as big of a difference as i was expecting. Im not a hype aggressive player, so ig i dont see the worth in being able save like 0.5 seconds running. Even in the demo that was a pretty long run to show that difference. in an actual game the distances are usually pretty small and you're gonna be checking rooms/corners n stuff too.
Especially on Glaz dmr. No recoil anyways plus he can see people holding the tightest angles when quick peaking. Dmrs in general are getting a buff from this attachment. With less people playing warden I can see glaz sens becoming meta.
Something you need to test is the fastest in term of weapon class. Perfect example is brava. Is brava faster with the DMR and Horizontal grip? Or is she faster with the AR and horizontal grip? Or are they the same?

Now everyone will run with pistols, why are they turning this game into a counter-strike? And for that long of a stretch that is not that big of a difference of speed. Some bs changes. Just why. Recoil is king, i can see someone choosing between flashhider or compensator, because they are fixing different types of recoil. Or even a muzzlebreak reduce initial kick after a first shot, but loose in long term recoil of a spray. But bad recoil for 5% speed increase? That doesn't even look comparable, bad choice. And even that small speedpeek advantage will contribute into toxic tdm meta even more. I thought they are trying to fix this.
They really are trying to turn this into cod with breakable walls. I mean I get it you get more interesting matches if the realism is thrown out for tactics but still do miss when there were single player rainbow six games.
I think 3 speeds not getting the pistol speed boost is a bug. Can you double check it on the live servers because I'm almost certain they're supposed to receive it. Also for mythbusters, do ops that have no grip attachments get the speed boost, i.e the mp7, shotguns, etc?
The devs already busted that myth, they specified that in order to receive the effect of an attachment, you need the attachment slot with that attachment equipped

I think the benefits from this is going to be noticed most towards the end of round with seconds on the board. Especially in secure area when you get into site as the clock hits 0. I can see some gunfights in favor of the slightl faster operator, but i think that'll be negligible in the lower ranks.
Great video! Did you do any testing comparing a 1 speed with a horizontal grip compared to a 2 speed without one? Does the buff move an operator a whole speed tier?
The aim down sights speed makes the most difference. Whoever has the horizontal grip will be able to swing enemies faster and make it even harder for the one statically holding the angle to react in time
Recruit is the only one stable, he roots, he toots, he salutes, he blows out backs and is the most "not fucked all to hell" op in this game. Like you might get better results from a new game at this point.
You can literally tell from the video that the 3 speed is running faster with the pistol. The pistol starts slightly behind and by the end is slightly in front.
horizontal grip saves .5 seconds over 50m sprint, literally .1 second per 10 meters and when using it the gun has 20% more vertical recoil because you can't have vert grip. Calm tf down lol

Weapon classes (aside from pistol) all had the same movement speed until this new patch where the LMG now is the only slower option

Why didn't you test strafe speed while ADSed? That's when its important, how much faster do you strafe? Peekers advantage and all

With current recoil on almost every gun personally for me it is impossible to use something without vert grip + flash hider combo
