Very well put together review. Rimowa has just gotten crazy expensive over the years, ever since the LVMH acquisition I can’t justify the cost. I use a Zero Halliburton Classic Aluminum International Carry-On. It’s been super reliable. The newer stuff from ZH doesn’t seem as good though, my checked bags from ZH have needed to be serviced almost every other trip. My Geo Aluminum needs to get its frame realigned twice! And I’ve had it for 5 years. In comparison my dad has an old suitcase from ZH from 1984 and all it needed was a replaced lock and new wheels. It’s built like a tank.
perfect video - I have the same red Samsonite since 2015 and now looking to upgrade something better. I debated between Rimowa, Away and Monos. Ultimately just ordered Monos because of a nice price package overall. Let's see how it compared when arrives.
The Rimowa is so nice. Other than being aluminum and expensive, I don't feel like the ZH truly even competes. The pull handle looks as flimsy as my old (but trusty) Delsey carry on--that bag was great, but also only $60.
The handlers ruined my metal zero haliburton case at Stansted. It was like someone dropped it from the top of a building as it had several bashes. They told me they were not liable and wouldn't let me fill in a claim form. _Unless its a carry on don't risk it._
You did a good job here and are attractive on video in the way you present yourself. Thank you. Can you comment on if you think the Samsonite held up well during your use?
But why buy a hard case luggage that is a carry on size? If you want to buy a carry on then buy fabric. It will lighter and it will stay with you the whole time during travel. Your luggage needs protection (from brutish baggage handlers, rain, puddle, whatever) when you check it it. So why not buy a hardcase luggage that is a large size?
The hard sided carry ons that were reviewed are much sturdier than those of fabric, and she may want to pack something that's fragile. If the overhead bin space is full, the airline may tell you that your carry on must be checked in, and the luggage handlers are notorious for throwing around luggage.
Halliburton lock is most secure in luggage industry. It is strongest luggage you can buy. Fire proof, water proof and shock proof. Zero Halliburton 96% if it’s business are military. Making case for light missile and bazooka. 1983 Korean airlines 747 was shoot down by USSR. The only whole piece luggage is a Zero Halliburton. That is the reason why Japanese company ACE bought Zero Halliburton civilian product line. Also 007 suits cases was Zero Halliburton.
wow, your script was very well thought out. I loved the floor test at the end

Thanks you foe the review. Exactly what I needed.
Thorough review. Thanks!
Excellent details reviews of the aluminum luggage!
Was it me or did the wheel noise (lack of)on Rimowa blow away the rest? Thx for sharing with us.

I kinda admire Rimowa's beauty but it comes with beefy price tag.
