Nihilism was a stage that helped me awaken, and I still have nihilistic beliefs. It doesn’t mean everything is random (evolution isn’t random either) but that there is no special purpose for humans or any other species for that matter. We’re not here to win a species for a creator or advance technology or whatever. We’re just here to be alive.

I was in the comfort zone for years thinking I finally found peace, but it was actually just a very comfortable grave that consumed years of my life.
What a wonderful take on the scariness of the world! The crises situations are incredibly anxiety producing. It’s like everyone is afraid! No matter your religion, ethnicity, country, whatever…. ! In the U.S. it feels like our whole world can be destroyed either politically by losing our democracy or by the climate crisis. Israel has gone crazy & people are talking like it is “normal “ to be so incredibly cruel & destructive. Russia is nuts. We are struggling to stop the extinction of species. The climate is SCARY! We need immediate action. Hello out there! This is an emergency. And yet I know, it takes suffering for people to change. That’s what motivates us to work. It does me.
Eckhart deserves a Nobel prize for inner peace. ❤

It should be evident by now that the Universe does not want you to breed. Do the rest of population a favor. Save yourself some money. Stop forcing yourself on the planet. Try gardening or something else.

I can fully testify that suffering brought me to awakening. There are moments the ego is back, but never for that long to forget the awakening and consciousness. Once you have experienced awakening, you will not lose it,

I would like to personally add, if you are going through a particularly challenging dark night of the soul, it may be beneficial to spend some time in low stimulation and isolation. I 100% agree with Eckhart Tolle that awakening cannot be achieved in a spa, but I also think trying to juggle work/relationships/obligations long after they have ceased to be meaningful and contribute towards the higher and deeper purpose creates only distractions and chaos... when perhaps what's needed is a period of reflection and silence, like Buddha under the Bodhi tree, like Jesus in the desert, to go fully into the night and emerge out the other side.

Suffering is there but just around you; it is not in the center, it is on the periphery. It is impossible for suffering to be in the center; it is not in the nature of things. So when you allow it to happen, you don´t escape, you don´t run, you are not in a panic, suddenly you become aware that suffering is there on the periphery as if happening to someone else, not to you, and you are looking at it. Greetings from Chattanooga, TN. I had my liver unexpectedly taken away from me. I had a 2 week warning was the first I knew, then I would pass. I can relate to this video. Now, I wouldn't change a thing, even though I will be immunocompromised the rest of my life. I came home from the hospital exactly when Covid19 began, so I had my mobility also taken away, for 19 months, nothing but Dr. visits and monthly labs. I gained much more than I lost. Thank you for you time and for sharing your knowledge and wisdom.

I‘m on a point - in deep breakdown, meaningless of everything - where I could not write on a white paper anything about me, who I am?! Nothing would be valid to write as nothing would feel - that’s me. If I would write something it would be the „old“ view of myself. The „new“ is not visible, felt at all and the (ego) mind pushes me to „to this“, „do this not“ but I don’t feel comfortable by any „forced suggestion“ by the ego mind.
At the moment I try my best to be in the blank me - in my inner SPA somehow.
Very very challenging time and I know, it’s necessary that „the Great Shift“ needs to come, the old (self & world in general) has to fallen, break down for the new what will/has to come 🙏

Suffering is a teacher, it burns away the ego's delusions so that we can see clearly, it consumes the ego until it surrenders and silences itself so you may finally listen to your true voice. You can avoid years of unnecessary pain simply by listening to yourself honestly at any time and questioning all the things that lead to suffering. You'll realise that all pain is self inflicted and that you can stop it anytime, the purpose was to lead to your own self awareness, that's what makes suffering the greatest teacher because it only appears if you refuse to listen.
Are you allowing an insane world to tell you your life is a failure or a so called “success“ …
The only true criteria is 😌whether you are conscious or not in this moment.

This is simply nonsense. For the ego to use suffering is for the ego to continue to create an image of itself in perpetuity. If ego is the problem, ego cannot be the answer. The very idea highlighted on this video is that suffering is necessary. That in itself is sheer ignorance.
"We can call this conscious suffering", as if suffering is otherwise. The cause may be unknown or denied, but the effects are not. So he's just making it all up, and believing himself to sound good by doing so. Taking the gullible for a ride on his crazy rollercoaster.
Rollercoaster it is, he goes through Darwin's Theory, and Nihilism, suggesting such gives no meaning without apparently understanding that has its own meaning, as it gives us a deeper appreciation of life, of possibility.
Next he covers meaning, and what is the real meaning of life, "consciousness, bringing more consciousness into this dimension". Well Eckhart, you do not display "more consciousness". In fact, you display only a limited consciousness due to your lack of understanding what you are yabbling on about.
Like religion, Tolle just presents yet more make believe which has mass appeal... to the ego's of this world.
So what is your solution of "suffering" ?
@@petrklic7064 Understand what it really is, self turning upon itself and making real that which is no longer real. That takes awareness, untangled from the involvement of self.
What does it mean to bring more consciousness into this dimension?
I think it means: to stay as conscious (aware of deeper truth) as possible as life continues to bring different challenges and situations that might cause us to get lost in negative emotion. Studying these teachngs and meditation for years gives the sense that its a repeating pattern of opportunities to realize what is really happening on a cosmic level (soul awakening, growth on a lifetime scale).Or, keeping a larger, more general a perspective as possible. ❤

BRAGGING ABOUT ME BEING STUCK IN THIS SIMULATION STAGE-CAGE
I have had an awaking recently. I was listening to some yogis talking about their meditations (which they spend in caves by themselves for years… 40-50 years for some). Some of them claimed they could recall their re-incarnation (s) back to being an animal. I do believe in re-incarnation. But now I’m wondering about this consciousness that lies in my head or somewhere. Scientists believe that those brilliant cervant autistic people are actually accessing some DNA streams. Hmmm. Wow all that is inside me somewhere? I’d love to recall my previous lives, but that type of commitment is way beyond me. I’m moving at a comfortable pace.
After all these years, I thought I was awakened but only now I am beginning to see how my own ego has contributed to my suffering.
I need to hear this once in a while. I've drifted into dreaming about my imaginary perfect circumstances. Hah! Boy am I good at fooling myself! 😆
So.. what is the purpose of awakening and for who is this purpose? Wanting meaning is a reaction to the feeling of meaninglessness. You feel you need a distraction from just breathing. The world is not meaningless, not meaningful. Humans create meaning. So we think it is important. It is.. for us. So decide that everything is meaningful. Melt into whatever is.
