It’s been a Looooong time since I “needed” something gear related. I rarely “gas” but DAM. This looks sooooo useful. I can see riffs and songs just jumping out of that little box 🤘
I just got this pedal. I can confirm that it is amazing. The amount of growl and bite are perfect. This the fuzz I have been waiting to find. I run a tube drive into the Moon, Moon into Brothers (left side boost with tone and gain adjustments); perfect. I have to continue tweaking the settings so I can get those harmonics while using the Moon. Can’t wait to play it again today!
I love the overall sound of impending doom from this pedal. When doing a melodic lead run it's almost like splitting off into a bass harmony in the lower notes. So cool!
Watched this the other night and jumped right on Reverb and ordered one from the Guitar Store. I'm also in Washington state so hopefully it won't take too long to get here (eta Monday). Pretty stoked. Just got into playing with fuzz. Recently bought a Behringer fuzz and it sounds pretty damn good for $25, but this thing sounds miles above! Can't wait. C'mon Monday!
First comment!!!!!! Ha first time I was able to be that guy. Thank you Fluff I'm so happy you are as in to this pedal as I am. Keeley really put out something wonderful here. Full on quiet floor noise in a stoner device. With much love and riffs, James
I just ordered your Keeley Moon Fuzz Glow edition pedal. Thank you for offering this pedal at a great price. I can't wait for it to arrive so I can try it out. Fluff's demo convinced me that I could get some great tones out of this box. Have an awesome weekend!
i think this with the Muffuletta fuzz pedal should give you all the fuzz types you need. If not i really want to hear what your playing because i love the fuzz. Stoner rock fan
The EQD Hizumitas is a fantastic pedal. It sounds in ways no other muff style pedal does. Jamie gave me one when he visited my shop. The two pedals are worlds apart internally. I think the Hizumitas sounds fantastic and is pretty unique.
If you're looking for some guitars to check out, look into Moon Guitars in NJ. The build quality reminds me of Balaguer a lot and they have some cool models.
Awesome f*king demo brother.. wanted to hear a nice range of the pedals soundscape. It was geared towards those Gilmore sounds like you said with The Darkside pedal.. but gets so aggressive. I'd only like to heard some of the ethereal nature it possesses as well. Still 👍🏻 👍🏻 * 5:18 *the part you definitely realize THIS IS YOUR NEXT PEDAL
Reading all the Robert Keeley comments makes you really appreciate an obvious genius, and pedal mogul who still has time for the little people! We're saying "WE'RE NOT WORTHY!", but he's saying "Yes you are, stop groveling you fools!". And that just makes me wanna bow to him even more! 👏 🛐 🖖
I just got a SolidGold '76 and the Keeley sounds very similar. Enough so that if I didn't own the '76 I might likely be getting the Moon. The '76 has classic germanium problems that I had to work around. I also had to flip off the bottom to cut the overkill highs. It does score points to having that bit of that magic fairy dust character all over it. The thing with anything Keeley is it 'just works' It does the job it says what it will do. My only complaint with anything Keeley is if it were ice cream it would be vanilla, killer vanilla but vanilla. Don't go looking for burnt almond, LOL. I would highly recommend to friends. Unlike the '76 they would never have a WTF moment, LOL. Unlike my '76 it won't frighten small children.
I promise this is my burnt almond. You actually nailed how I feel at times. I'm an engineer, teacher, businessman, and a guitar player, so I have this deeply embedded vanilla that I weave from. The voices in my head are always yelling for more burnt almond however. Wait till you see what we come out with late this year Paul ;-)
@@RobertKeeleyTV I bought , than hated many compressors and stopped when I bought the Comp + Why? ... because it is a 'one size fits all' baseball hat. Not very exciting but it keeps an un-compressed sun out of my eyes so I stopped worrying about the perfect compressor. Cheer up I have 3 Keeley pedals. My rig consists up 72 pedals wired up as 3 separate self contained boards. One for clean and low gain OD's the second for Crunch. the third for high gain. All have a comp, a smart gate, a delay, and verb. Modulation and other pedals sprinkled around where needed. A switcher lets me have a board per ...verse, chorus, mid 8/solo for every tune. I downsized it was over 100, lol. Hell this rig is used live!!! At 75 i decided to go small, LOL. Know if I could get the 10 guitars down to??? ....which is highly unlikely, it might be manageable. I sing lead on my 30 original tunes as well in a power trio as well. My motto "You only get one chance to make a first impression" !!!!
Would you choose the Keeley Moon Op Amp Fuzz over the EHX Rams Head Big Muff Pi Reissue? Also would this sound good through a solid state combo amp like an Orange Crush 35RT?
we capacitively coupled in the fabled "brown note" with this design. It's actually us helping Ukrainian street musicians fight. Click this pedal on and you are locked and loaded with the brown sound. People will shit their pants.
Ordered one after watching this, and it got to my house yesterday... Seriously, just get one, it's freaking great! Love it!
Thanks AmpliFeX!

So what do you think Gabriel?! I hope you enjoy the heck out of it.
@@RobertKeeleyTV Absolutely loving it! Gives me some serious Sleep vibes. Got it on Saturday and it's been the only pedal I've used since!
I love the traditional fluff “clean” tones!
That was almost my favorite part of the video!!! ;-) ;-) He shoulda said, "Here's my clean tone"!!!! HAHA
Freaking love Keeley man! Best fuzzes, the Fuzz Bender is the best modern Fuzz IMO
I love fuzz. I might get one of these. So far i got one of each circuit in my collection. But there's always room for another fuzz.
Yes

I've never liked fuzz pedals. I WANT THIS!!

My favorite fuzz for my first generation Sunn Model T. Good recommendation.

Dang thats really good
I bought a fuzz yesterday or I'd buy this today. Sounds great
Man! I loving the new Earthquaker Hizumitas, but this could be just as bonecrushing. Might have to try it out. Sounds killer!
An A/B test is in order. I really dig my MAE Black Math bc it has so much range, but it does a bit tamer compared to the Moon

Switch all the way to the right sounds a lot like Drive By Truckers. I dig it.
Sledge hammer thickness, my new measure for buying fuzz

I'm assuming this is with humbuckers. I would like to hear it with single coils if possible.
Great video and review, I'll be ordering one very soon.
This thing would be right at home on a Red Fang record. It sounds doomy AF.
What’s better Moon or Eons ??
Sweetwater has a Keeley "Suns" fuzz ( moon variant?)...says it has a 'tighter bass' than the moon?
Wow, that thing is siiiiiick. Anyone interested in founding a new progressive stoner jazz band? 🤔 stank faces were made on my end. 🤘

Fuzz pedal review on the 20th of April...

Would you choose the Keeley Moon Op Amp Fuzz over the EHX Rams Head Big Muff Pi Reissue? Also would this sound good through a solid state combo amp like an Orange Crush 35RT?
Does it clean up like a FF or is it more like a Big Muff?
I could be wrong, but this would probably be more along the lines of a big muff being op-amp based and judging by the way it sounds.
@@dannyllerenatv8635 That’s what I thought
It doesn't clean up with the volume rolled back, it doesn't share that FF trait... It sounds best when you're in full bore. ;-)

i bet itd sound killer on bass
Soap opera in a pedal and golden girls wicker furniture I can't afford in one economical affordable stomp box.
Can you direct me to a good dark side version video..
Why did I get nothing but tampon ads on this video? Was it because Fluff mentioned bloody steak?
Ok…
I wish it showed the minimum amount of gain to see the contrast
If the fabled "brown note" exists I think it resides within this pedal. 😂

Is this just the fuzz side of the Loomer?
No, it is very different than the Loomer. The Loomer's high gain fuzz is more similar to our Darkside or Rotten Apple.
