    @jrodigan5 this 9-5 is actually 1998, my dad bought this
    exact model in 1998 in red.

    I find that pole test quite off-putting! But the other test are pretty good, and certainly 10 years ago it was as safe as they come. Still a pretty safe car overall though!

      10 years from your comment... Now cars are even more safe than 10 years ago.

      Yeah, that pole test really brought the structure to it's limits, but the airbag for sure did a good job and prevented the dummy from fatal injuries. In 1998, when the 9-5 got tested for the first time, it was the safest car they've been testing so far.

    Uh, that's not a 2003. That is more like an '01 or older.

    • @ptun2
      @ptun2 9 лет назад +1

      +Krasimir Velichkov I know this comment is 2 months old... But yes... There is an airbag on the side. Most cars have that today :P

    • @rogerwilco2
      @rogerwilco2 7 лет назад +15

      Most cars have that today, SAAB has had it for 20 years. And other features like side bars in the doors for over 40 years.

      It has seat airbags. Was not that uncommon even 20 years ago. I’ve had four cars built from 2001 to 2003 and they all had them.

      Only difference I believe is that the 2003 model has a seat belt reminder. Otherwise I think it remains the same
