Love your tutorial on How to make doll shoes easy dtep by step thank you for sharing and taking your time to write all the supplies you need and where to go and buy them
Thank you so much, Angelita! I like being able to make them shoes because I buys used dolls and they rarely come with shoes. Plus you can match them to outfits you make. Glad you enjoyed it!!!
Fantastic video. I am going to try with clay and UV resin and (I know if I follow your instructions that the clay will come out...maybe not quite as good but workable in my case lol) hopefully I will be able to satisfy my shoe Obsession which I have transferred to dolls, without spending so much money (its surprising how much doll shoes can mount up! I have lots of soles that I can take moulds from so I have my fingers crossed!).
Yes!!! Doll shoes are so expensive, and I'm addicted to buying shoes for my Blythe dolls. Sounds like you're ready to dive in to the shoe making so good luck!!!
I wonder if nail acrylic or polygel would work in the silicone molds. I have a lot of manicure supplies. It seems like if I can sculpt a fingernail, then I should be able to make a doll shoe. Have you ever tried manicure nail products? Gel polish would work better than regular nail polish.
Great idea using thrift-store scarves & curtains for clothes...a lot of filmy floaty possibilities for fairy-type dolls! Also, more power to you for liking the MS X-acto in part because it's pretty...pretty tools make pretty projects!!
Hello. I enjoyed watching this video! I was hoping if you can help me? My Clash Montgomery Integrity Doll’s faux patent leather shoes are peeled and cracked! Are you able to make replacements if I send you pics and the actual shoes to use as a template?
Technically then, I could use Milliput or Apoxie sculpt because that's the closest I can seem to get, and I could use the mould for both polymer clay and UV resin? (This is me getting up in the morning with dolls shoes in my head...well I know its nearly 10 am but I'm supposedly getting ready to go out rather than thinking about doll shoes lol!)
I think Apoxie sculpt would work if you can keep it in the right shape until it cures. I'm not sure about using UV resin in a mold like that because the heel part wouldn't receive the UV. But the Apoxie sculpt would be a good option I think. Let me know if you try it.
Put the doll's foot on a piece of paper and trace around it to create the pattern, then you can cut a piece of polymer clay to match it. You may have to bend it to fit the shape of the foot depending on whether it's high heel or a flat.. That's how I do it. If it's high heel then you can add a piece of polymer clay to make the heel part and glue it on.
Love this tutorial! It’s so hard to find shoes for Blythe that are not babyish so thank you! One question if I may; after stuffing the polymer clay into the mold, how do you scrape off the excess without cutting into the mold? Also, I am having a hard time seeing where the soul in the mold ends once I’ve stuffed the clay into it. So my shoes end up bigger than they should.
That would be an interesting challenge. It would have to be made in pieces to be able to bake it, and then assembled on the doll. Hmmm, I'll think about it. Thanks for the suggestion!
I guess you could use air dry clay instead of polymer clay. I've never used it, but it should work. There are also moldable plastics that come in sheets or pellets that can be heated with hot water or heat gun. I prefer polymer clay, so I haven't worked with those. Hope that helps.
I use polymer clay and you can find it on Amazon or craft stores like Michaels. I use a brand called Premo by Sculpy, but they are all similar. Thanks!
I'm not sure which clay you are talking about. The mold itself is not clay. It's silicone and you can find it in the same places I talked about fo the polymer clay which is what I use for the sole.
Finally! Someone who makes nice "not klunky" shoes. Awesome tutorial.
Thank you do much for how detailed you are explaining everything! I'm going to try yout method since it makes the most sense to me.
I'm so glad it was helpful! Make those shoes!
Thanks I have been looking everywhere for stuff like this :D

Hi Lara, Thank You so very Much for sharing this video. All the Best, Jonny D

Well, nothing sticks to silicone, so I don't see why it wouldn't work. Give it a try!

LRMc60 it’s so much fun to find treasures in thrift stores, isn’t it?
@@larajnance OMG I blew $40 on "thrift" clothes to make Barbie clothes from 😂😂😂 but it was indeed a lot of fun! Now to make stuff!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video, but I'm not able to fix the shoes, sorry!
Super detail. Thank for your clips.
I'm glad you like them. Thanks!

I think the Happily Ever After Dolls have the same feet mold.
thank you so much for this!!!
you're very welcome!
Hi, love ur tutorial, bt I would like to know how I could use this technique of creating a sole for my doll shoes with no previous sole to use?
Put the doll's foot on a piece of paper and trace around it to create the pattern, then you can cut a piece of polymer clay to match it. You may have to bend it to fit the shape of the foot depending on whether it's high heel or a flat.. That's how I do it. thank you! have a metal clay tool that is not sharp but I can use it to scrape evenly across the mold.
@@larajnance Do you have an active page on Pinterest?
Ok, thanks so much!
Di you think melted glue gun glue would fill the mold enough to make clear shoes?
I don’t know. But worth a try.
great video! Challenge: make a doll dress form using the putty. I've been hoping someone would.
That would be an interesting challenge. It would have to be made in pieces to be able to bake it, and then assembled on the doll. Hmmm, I'll think about it. Thanks for the suggestion!
Great tutorial, I need shoes for my vintage high heel dolls but don’t want to pay $20 a pair!
Yay! Yes, and you can make them look the way you want them! XOXOXO
How many times can you use the mold in the oven?
No limit as far as I know.
Hello, does it indicate any product that I can mold a sole without having to go to the oven?

Very good. Thank you for sharing this.
You're very welcome. Hope it helps!
Don't you have to make a left foot mold and a right foot mold? :) Thanks!
For these dolls, no. The shoe fits either foot. Other dolls might be different.
Purple doll is twylla
Where do you find molding clay?
