You all looked fabulous! Ember is coming right along and as he gets more experience and calms down just a bit he will figure out what to do with those long legs of his. :)
I love Justine’s advice “think of the trees”. No idea what it means but it probably takes your mind off the stride and so on. You look like you and Ember had a lot of fun. Do you use a neck strap when riding him cross country schooling?
Yes think of the trees means look up and think of something else xx - to stop you overthinking and over reacting

I love Ember’s enthusiasm and how very chill you are with him. He is a firecracker in the best way. I adore his pop up to the moon bunny hops first time through. You with Ember and joyful Justine, Jess and Bea put the biggest smile on my face. Such good fun!

Lucy, this was such a pleasure to watch. Ember was clearly LOVING IT and you're doing such a great job with him. I hope you're able to have fun and just enjoy these positive moments without feeling like they have to be part of a progressive trai ing program too, so pleased that he is making such big steps for you xx

I am so impressed w/Embers progress - he looked really good!! You are riding him very well I love how he responds to your softer hands - he is coming back to you much better - give him a lot of credit that wind was awful - for a thoroughbred he handled that really well great job!!

I have a question about the way Ember goes. I've never noticed a horse that seems to want to lead, especially with is right front, with his heels. Even more pronounced at the trot and even when he is quiet. Is that a conformation related thing?
Ember remains me so much of Lemme on outings. I've not been brave enough to take him cross country so I'm thinking you're the bravest person ever at this point. 🤣 So excited for you and Ember and I just love his flicky front legs. 😍🥰❤️😁

You are doing such a good job with him. His confidence has come on so much and he’s obviously really learning to trust you. He’s going to be a little cross-country machine.

My god you’re so brave!!! I had a hot thoroughbred like Ember and I had to pass him on 😞 I’m not at all brave. Hats off to you as you are doing such an amazing job with him 👏 much admiration for you. Stay safe

I could def not ride that horse. You are an excellent rider to sit all that so calm and working ember to be calm. I would have peaced out very early on.

Do Ember's hind quarters not follow over the jumps the same way as other horses? He jumps with his back end tucked up under him, and not with his hindquarters back, following behind him over a jump. Not sure about the proper way to describe it, but he definitely jumps differently to the other horses in his video. Is this just a "quirk" or could this indicate some issue he has, which might be the reason for his different behaviour when it comes to jumping?
