Someone brought one to our I & I Antique Tractor Show in Penfield Illinois in July. I couldn't begin to climb up there, but I sure wanted to. It was a favorite of little kids.
I had a friend who s father had one similar to that one. They were cotton farmers and used it to spray for pests, mainly Boll Weevils. Almost every farm had some type of high clearance sprayer (High Boy )
YES SIR I HAVE!!, NOV 18TH 2024 I'LL BE 68 YEARS OLD, WHEN I WAS ABOUT 4 YRS OLD MR EUGENE WEBB HAD ONE AT HIS AG CENTER, THAT HE WENT AROUND THE COUNTY OF NORTH LOWNDES AND SOUTH COOK COUNTY SPRAYING DIFFERENT CROPS FOR FARMERS IN HIS AREA!!.
Used them in south Georgia to spray tobacco and cotton and sometimes corn. I have a nice 8n now that is early 49 model like the one we had when I was a kid. Not too many high sprayers like that but there were a couple in our area back then.
I think they made some of those at the factory but they didn't look exactly like that. They had long front axle legs and enclosed rear wheel drive housings kind of like the high crop tractors.
A necessidade fez do homem o maior dos inventores do mundo, diversos desaines os tratores movimenta a nossa imaginação, agricultura e outras atividades...! Beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your amazing video, they’re so beautiful the Ford 8N, they cut not be made better by Ferguson. Luckily for Ford that he had to license them.
Our neighbor had one of these for a couple of years. Dangerous as could be - his turned over one day, bottom up! The operator wound up standing on the oil pan!
as Ditzy said, if a chain breaks they would be great, also if you hit a dip they might save you from sliding off the shallow seat and landing on the ground
So cool. I have loved them since. My grandfather taught me to drive
His 8n in the
Mid 1950.s. every time I see an 8n I think of grandpa

I am what you can call me a city boy but I love tractors and this one is an absolute piece of artwork
I love that it kept the fenders.

Very cool. Fun part of farming history.

They say "necessity is the mother of invention." The proof is right there in that 8N!

I thought the front was harder to design. But id love to get close look at the whole stilts system
"I'm going crazy up there at the lake". from the movie Fargo
Eu faço um trator desses
The mudguards are a little superfluous.
not if a chain breaks and whips up at you there not... o_0

he definitely shoulda took the fenders off of it
The fenders keep you in your seat when you are on a incline or decline. Safer not safe! Lol
Is there anything the N-series couldn't be made to do on a farm/ranch???
Can do pretty much anything that the engine isn't too small for.
I have seen that ruff and tumble pa
It's good to see C.T.F. is into repurposed old iron.
I seen one on tractor house
I want DRAWING (Sketch) of it tractor any one may help me.
In ruf in tumble
Zombie proof.
He ruined it.
How did he ruin it? By putting a windmill ladder on it?
Uh, Everyone but you thinks it awesome
You're an idiot, several companies offered stilt kits long before Hagie or JD Hicycle. FMC sold completely converted tractors or insecticide dusting.
