The metal tab on the bottom front of the machine is for a rod to connect to a foot pedal. you pull it down toward the floor, it then pulls your contact arms to make contact to with the cells, then use the foot switch to trigger the weld. That way you can use both hands to hold your strip and cells while you weld.
Thanks for the video, excellent work ! I hjave a quick question, I have this one and I would like to install a welding pen so it is more flexible and I can spot weld large battery packs with an hand held pen. What is your recommentation? Just connect 2 copper cables to the terminals ?
(3:30) - Copper is quite a soft metal. It would be very easy to bend a dog-leg in each electrode rather than squeezing together the electrode terminals with zip ties. >
Mr. Brother, I bought it, but I plug the machine and when I start to punish, that is, when I do the punishment, I throw the cycloon of the house, I tried it in all the plugs in the house, but it does so. I wonder if you have any information about it, I would appreciate it Respects
Mr. Abim. I bought it, but when I plug in the machine and start tackling, that is, when I do the tack, it throws the house's cycles. If you have any information about this, I would be very happy if you answer. Sir
I brought this one seems to work ok for a while but I'm already missing a line from one of the numbers on screen and it tends to do nothing sometimes when you go to weld unless I turn it on and of a few times, I do not hold out hope for this thing at all.
Just a thought ,but if you could get your hands on a piece of copper grounding wire(1/4 " diameter) about 12 inches long, cut in to two pieces 6 inches long , bend one end at a ninety degree angle (and sharpen it to a point ) so it looks like the Allen wrench you have , then another ninety degree angle on the other end in the opposite direction and put it in slot where the electrodes go . Do this to both pieces and it should work .
Worth a try , around my home , I'm pretty sure if I talked to one of the guys installing cable or an electrician wiring a house , they would have a piece that long lying around or about to be thrown out. Good luck.

Very good video, thank you
Love your videos bro keep em comin
It is bright. Make sure you wear 😎. Thank you for the demonstrating with dried ✋🤚
LOL!
You can bend the electrodes to make them closer and if you loosen the top knob for the pressure can you not pull more of the electrode holders out?
I can bend the electrodes. But I think it'd be easier to just wrap the arms closer together.
You can undo the clamps and move them closer to each other at the tips.

hi when you tried to weld the .2 strip you only had it at 95% how come you did not put it for 99% power?
There's not much difference between 99 and 95%
just solder with a very hot iron. I use 12v soldering iron connected to 20v 5s battery.. works fine

Very well done review...

What are some alternatives to this machine? Can I just solder the connection points with flux, solder and an iron?
Soldering introduces a lot of heat into the cells, and will shorten their life dramatically.
did u buy one these spot welders and will they spot weld 22650 lifepo4 as they bit biger than 18650 i need a 10s4p pack welding up.
Yes I did. They can spot weld anything that has a metal surface. You just need nickel strips.
Did u use the hand held extension or you managed without ?

That's a great idea. I guess we can use solid copper wires to manipulate the length and angle of the electrodes.

Very good review.
Thanks boss!!
Rather than squeeze the electrode holders together, couldn't you have just made the bottom part of the electrode stick out further?
I could. But I prefer to have them straight down instead of at an angle.
You are using nickel plated steel, 7f you were trying with pure nickel it would be even more difficult to weld.
You got it backward. It's the other way around.
Great! Now mod it to run off of 18650 cells!
If you want to do that, just wire the electrodes to a 30S pack! :-)
@@fun_ghoul How can I wire to 30s? Will a car battery work? 700 amps..
@@brosmile9388 30S=30 cells in series, or 111 volts. I was joking. Please don't try to spot weld with batteries.
Pure Nickel would work way better then that Nickel Plated steel strip.
maybe the 0.2 strip was to bend for a proper weld? the spring pressure will not be able to press it that hard.
It needs to be on 99
To make holes on the nickel strips?
