The bible is amazing, born again at 71, I'm 72 and just now one year into the bible . I had a hard time with understanding Romans, looked for help and the big Man sent me Pastor Paul......thank you, God is with you

Jesus went back 3 times to pray because of this great agony. God is love so it had to be horribly sorrowful to know such hatred was about to happen. Hatred hurts me the same.

It's difficult reading the passion account. The closer I draw to the Lord the more sorrowful reading the account becomes. But I always have to remember the Lord's death was necessary and he willingly gave up his life for man. Multiple times through Matt 26, Jesus says the scripture must be fulfilled.

It's occuring to me right now; if there was no hell, why would Jesus even have to do this?! If either everyone went to heaven, or people just dissappear when they die, why exactly would THIS be necessary? The fear, foreknowledge of absolute pain, betrayal... It's one thing for non Christians to believe in this way, but Chistians? Why did Jesus do this?! He was the only one who could pay for our sins to keep us out of hell!!!! Because we all deserve hell😔 Thank You, Jesus😢😢😢
That is exactly what I say to Jehovah's Witnesses, who don't believe in Hell. The Bible tells us everything we need to know but when it doesn't align with what people want to believe they try to discredit it, from JWs to Mormons to people who want to practice homosexuality. You have to trust God's word or you will go down a theological rabbit hole that barely resembles true Christianity.
I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be dispersed, if the Apostles would have stood strong and perished with him, I feel He had to put the fear in them cause all His work would have been lost?

I love to read Ephesians 6 for the Full Armor & then Psalms 91 to feel protection- it does help with the fear😇
