    I’ll stick with the older version. Not a significant difference to justify the price.

    Steve, I really like your videos. I’m new to your channel but glad I’ve subscribed now. I’m about to purchase home security and strongly leaning towards RING. How has your experience generally been with RING products - pros & cons? Welcome comments too from your other subscribers. Thanks!

    The pro looks a good camera Steve,just seems a little expensive though,there's an Arlo offer on a camera at $89.99,seems a good price for Arlo. Although it's still only 1080p and there's know birds eye view,so I'm scratching my head at the minute. Thanks

      Yea, if you're not going to use the additional features then it's not worth the extra cost.

      I don’t think you can stand the spotlight one. I wanted it for the light but I saw that it didn’t have the feature to stand for indoor use.

    I have 20 stick up cameras around my property. We have a back alley and side alley. I need cameras everywhere pretty much. Mostly I want to see where my cats go lol. I wish ring would do away with the siren. It’s pointless. The speaker needs to be louder. I wasn’t impressed with the spotlight and floodlight versions of ring cameras. For some reason their picture quality wasn’t as good as the stick up which was weird. Ring stick up cameras are a good deal for a decent camera. They had them for $59 during july amazon prime sale and recently the Black Friday deals. I still need like about 4 cameras lol. I didn’t think much of this pro version but the “birds eye” view feature intrigued me. And I really don’t know where I would put this camera or would need it more. Therefore I would probably need 4 of them and there is no way that’s gonna happen. And I actually do like the power cord version of the stick up camera. The only extra features you seem to get with a plugged in version is more wider motion sensing zone for some reason. I don’t like how the battery version doesn’t have motion sensing for the top of the screen. You have to literally move your camera upwards to get to that certain zone you want covered. With plugged in stick up cam you have that problem solved. And then you can also have more time to record. I have mine set to 2 minutes I believe but sometimes I still miss people walking down the alley. I guess they come when it stopped recording I don’t know. The power cord is like $40 alone. Probably best to get a battery and power cord version of these cameras. One thing I really hate is how hard it can be to remove the battery to charge them. There’s gotta be an easier faster way to remove the battery pack. I have some cameras hidden in trees etc. when it’s time to charge I have to wait till dark so no one sees me etc. then they are gonna know where they are mounted. I’m over there reaching and trying to turn that stupid door to get the battery out. These cameras seem to have the most dumbest mounting system as well lol. I just got mounts on amazon. I like the clip mounts. Ground stake as well.

      No it does not. I bought it thinking it did. I had to swap it with my 3rd Gen and Pou the pro in its place, also not happy with the pro motion detection

    I thought the audio sounded better on the older camera?
    I have 5 of the older cameras (plus one spotlight and doorbell camera) installed around my house, all hooked up to solar panels, and they work fine for me.
    Nice review though. Thanks

    I’m quite surprised at the price hike compared to the old cam. I’m looking at buying one but I just can’t figure out which one I need. I only purely want it to record video in the event someone makes their way into my yard.

    Both camera's are 🔥 🗑️ from the design and Audio to the most crucial aspect, Video...Too much competition in the space (Reolink, Eufy, Wyze etc..) to consider these as a viable option.

    Thank you for all of the information, after being broken into I have now installed a Ring doorbell and want to mount at least two cameras. Question, the facia boards on my house are only about seven feet off of the ground, do I risk some perp stealing them mounted so low?

    Both of these are useless if you can't stick them "up". There is no option to flip the video so you can't out this outside mounted to the ceiling or wall. It can only be on a flat surface or you get upside down video and images.

      That's incorrect. I was able to attach. I have one of each of these he talks about in his video. I found a different video from someone else that shows how to attach

    • @Sulley1562
      @Sulley1562 2 месяца назад

      Yes this is not correct. You can mount on the wall as I have done. The base comes off and attached to the back for wall mount
