@@pnyarrow I'd like to say I have 100% in my modifications but that would be a lie lol sometimes you just have to keep modifying or give up and try a new piece of kit .
its always fun modding kit to suit your own requirements, and satisfying when it works. The velcro is a good idea, ... ive done it to a few of my packs recently, to add a degree of safety when walking on roads at night or in the half light.
Do love my LK35, I've riveted straps around it for added pouches when needed, and got a cheap plce belt as a kidney belt, works a treat, and has a nice wide strap, next up is your other idea, replacing the chest straps for easier movement, nice vid.
Hi Andy. Thank you for your kind and supportive comments and for subscribing. The more I use my LK 35 the more I understand why it is such a hit. Stay safe. ATB. Nigel
Great job Nigel I'm in the process of modding my LK35 I've added a cobra weave grab handle and a waist belt from a cheap webbing set but not changed the shoulder straps yet where did you source those they look very easily adjustable? All the best Roo
Hi Roo. I used some ols respirator case straps a little more sturdy than the attachment staraps but still more pliable that the original ones. Hope this helps. ATB. Nigel
@@pnyarrow ok that's cool, I recently got a land rover and want to make a drop down cook section on the rear door I could use the pouches on that for storage and the straps on the LK35 win-win 👍
Hi Johnny. The knife is the UK military heavy duty knife often referred to as the 'MoD Survival Knife' It is heavy, sturdy and good for heavy jobs but a little on the heavy side for general useage in the woods etc. Hope this helps. ATB. Nigel

@@PreparedCamping Sounds like a plan! A word of caution some of the respirator straps are softer than the others so check first.
