Just recently bought the TE-40 TBK Deluxe Series and I LOVE IT! Looking at this one and several other Harley Benton’s to add to the arsenal. Love your videos and hearing you play!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. That's so awesome to hear you're enjoying your experience. I have no experience with that model. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much my friend. I find this particular model imparts a feeling of confidence. Somehow in my hands it feels very comfortable. I’m only sorry I don’t currently own any Gibson LP standards and deluxe’s anymore to do a side by side comparison. The only Gibsons I’ve kept for decades are my two double cutaway Les Paul Specials with p90’s. I can honestly vouch that this HB model 450plus gives me that feeling I had with my old Gibson standard. This one is a pound lighter and less than a tenth of the price as my old brick. Personally, despite how I feel about this model, the SC450 FTF with Tesla pickups is one of my favorite SC, has been my go to when I want to get express myself through a SC platform.
Wondrous playing on a quality instrument, no matter the price point. Whether effects are added or not, the Harley Benton SC 450PLUS is a stunner! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks so much. I have to agree. We are all in a new age where CNC manufacturing has standardized a level of expectation repeatable regardless of design including craftsmanship. In the last four decades big manufacturers began utilizing CNC. Nowadays, it’s possible for upstart companies if funded to delve into CNC from the beginning rapidly learning where to adjust settings rather than adjust the craftsman. Though it may never replace the knowledge of an instrument known to be handmade, it does offer for so many what was for so long unreachable to acquire for so many. 40 years ago $200 bought you bolt on single cut Hondo, nowadays for less than that we have an instrument that leaves you with no excuses other than to play more and pay a whole lot less. Young guitarists nowadays are living in a fortunate time where the collected advances of manufacturing have blessed them so much to be thankful of. Thank you so much commenting. 😎
It’s hard to disagree. It’s a whole lot of fun introducing my old school guitarist musicians to Harley Benton. I especially love how this model sounds when using splitting the coils on these Roswell’s. The only adjustment I did was to lower the pickup height. I’m a huge fan of my HB SC550II FTF, with the Tesla pickups.
What are YOU doing with my Guitar ?! - I bought one exactly like that a few months back. Its a very cool rockin´ machine. Congrats on getting one ! Those split coils also makes it sound very good. My next purchase will be the Harley Benton SC-550 II BCF or the Harley Benton SC-Custom III Desert Burst. Those colors are really beautiful and these guitars are pretty well made too. Keep on rocking Dude ! I like your style :)
Thanks Max. It’s a cool player for sure. FYI, all my Harley Benton guitars featuring splittable Roswell pickups required me to lower the pickup height. I have the SC-550II FTF, and it is without hesitation to admit, it’s my favorite SC LP style I’ve played, the Tesla pickups are amazing very much like a slightly gainy PAF. On this SC450, I very much enjoy this pickups when coil spilt. Thanks so much commenting. 🍺☺️
Jammin' along on me old (2016) Epi ES-335 Pro and enjoyin' meself besides... Looks and sounds like everything is right where it outta be ...and your plunkin' is soundin' really fine, & you is makin' that sucker sing! -Cheerios
Hello from France !!! Wonderfull playing ! I am interested by one of these Harley Benton SC, you said prefering the new SC550 II, can you tell why ? Thanks.
Thanks so much for watching. The SC450 Honeyburst, is a down right good guitar in all aspects more akin to an LP with a medium/chunky neck with Roswell pickups with split coil features. The SC550ii is a great guitar with slim 60’s neck, tesla pickups, no split coils, stainless steel frets. Personally the 550ii, in my opinion is an overall exceptional guitar playing experience. Both guitars are good players however I do prefer the 550ii over the 450. The Tesla pickups on the 550, sounds like cross between a Gibson PAF and an epiohone burstbucker.

Twenty minutes of glorious jazzy skronkiness! Who could ask for more? After this, I'm seriously considering one of these for the rack...
