    This is what I want to hear... and is convincing more that selling my elektron DN to have one less tool to design in, RYTM seems to encompass all the needed techno sounds in a box.

    You could use a sampled snare on one of the tom channels, giving you a non-linked synth voice. You can also convert the Lowest Tom into a kick, freeing up more synth voices! Crunchy drum samples going through AR analogue overdrive & filters....

      Yeh definitely I do that a lot with hi-hats, sacrifice a tom track for it, who needs 4 toms anyway :P
