- Today I'm trying out the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Evil Eye Palette for Holiday 2024 and sharing some comparisons and all of my thoughts! I also use all 6 shades in the palette. I also do a ton of comparisons to other palettes including last year's Leopard palette.

16:17 the light and dark palette's blushes are very different, I find it so unfortunate that the medium palette has 2 similar blushes! I would have loved to seen a mauvy or purply blush instead of 2 rosy ones.
💯 agree. I did ask my husband after filming if he noticed anything about my blush. He didn’t. He couldn’t tell even after I told him.
on my cheek this 2 blush look like different... I like this choice)
but it can be red and this can be sooo perfect (mauvy good but with this warm palette it can be strange imho)

They are both beautiful. I think if you will use the 2 finishing powders, Dragon is a great palette.

Thank you so much. I wore it today in a pinch and it looked great. Very versatile.
I just received this palette, with a different cover than the Evil eye cover. I love it!, much better than the Elephant palette from a few years ago, which I declutterred. Everything in this palette is great. The 2 blushes are kinda the same., BUT you can also mix the apricot one with the coral one for a different blush. I love the apricot on its own, but that’s one way to turn it into 3 different blush colors. I like the bronzer and highlighter much better than the ones in the Elephant palette, that bronzer was too orange, and the highlighter too dark. I put the bronzer in my crease, and the rose-gold highlighter on my lid. Beautiful. I’m sure the apricot on the lid will be great too.

I'm still in doubt between Dragon (love the packaging and I'm a dragon according to Chinese horoscope) and Evil Eye (but prefer Dragon or Lotus Flower over this for the packaging). I'm a NW13 in MAC shades, so pretty light. But I do also have Jellyfish, Ghost, Mood Exposure (as a little single) and I think the shades in Dragon are more adding something new to my collection and more catering to my complexion. What do you think? Will the blushshades in Evil Eye be to vibrant for me and similar of what I already have? I think I'm going to swatch first in store when they become available here in the Netherlands or Germany. And I also saw an image of some new to release NARS blushes that are very light so maybe I end up with that.

I think the Dragon Palette is gorgeous. I love the blushes. They aren’t as vibrant, but more vibrant than mood exposure. The only issue I find with it is if you don’t use the finishing powders as much. However, as many people mentioned, they use the finishing powders the most. So it’s really an individual preference. Also, the highlighter is not as different as the palettes you have.
If you lean cool toned it seems like evil eye might be the best.

They are all great in that scenario. It really depends on your skin tone. If you like 2 finishing powders, then Dragon. If not, Evil Eye (for light to medium skin tones)

Just like Ariane said, the new Barney's palette is the Elephant. I loved Elephant, but I prefer 3 blushes and 1 finishing powder, so I decluttered it last year after getting Leopard. You can't go wrong with either.
