- Sony Music Japan acaba de lanzar el disco "Jigoku Retsuden", una colección de los grandes éxitos de la banda pero grabados nuevamente con la actual formacion. Se trata de 15 canciones, nuevamente tocadas en un estudio por Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer y Tommy Thayer.
Kiss covering Kiss. A self-tribute album.

Belive it or not,I know Paul, I live close to his house,I see him from time to time .I love Kiss hardcore fan since a kid .He told me Ace and Peter just became to hard to work with .
That he would love to keep th band with the original line up .
Eric and Tommy,bring good energy to the band and they sound great.

Read recording your old hits is nothing new. Chubby Checker had no option as all his original songs were unavailable to him for decades, but he recorded them again and they sounded excellent.
Blue Oyster Cult also recorded an album of their hits in 1994, which sounds great.
This, and the others on Klassiks, are rather splendid.
The hits just have to survive. Whether You redo them yourself or by other artists. Nevermind if their your own songs or "Breakthrough-hit-coversongs".

too slow for me...and paul sounds weird at the beginning :(
hmm, not bad, but it sounds too "slow", it lacks the energy and enthusiasm of the original.
the original sounds more exciting, this one sounds kinda boring and "meh"

You're saying don't live in the past and then confuse yourself by saying how great it is that KISS cobble together a collection of re-hashed 'classics' that sound worse than when they were recorded "30 years ago"! "YOU WANTED THE BEST YOU GOT THE BEST" Remember that?!! I'm not going to be "grateful" for this rubbish. Given the history of the band that's beyond insulting. Accept mediocrity and that's pretty much all you'll ever get. "Greatful" (sic) Ha! Thanks for "listening".

KISS is still KISS to me. and they still sound great. you're lucky you live near him. Paul seems so cool
go ahead and chunder or hurl or heave or whatever you call it but this sounds great.
it's way better live this sounds kinda wimpy, i liked the original ok, dynasty is actually a pretty decent album

I completely agree. They shouldn't have bothered...nothing like the original!
They had a tremendous opportunity, with this album, to make some of the older week sounding songs sound heavier and more modern but they blew it. There's no continuity on this album. A few song sound cool but that's it

Why didn't they enjoy the opportunity to record a different version than the original one, instead of making a ridiculous copy?
Paul could have sung just the way he does live. I don't see a reason why I should put my Dynasty album back into the drawer and listen to this crap...
BTW, I've been a die hard fan for the last 22 years.
