Is the XJ220 a popular choice? It seems to have a nice long wheel base. I figure after getting beat by one (TWICE) I should buy one to see the fuss is about 😂

Over at Beaverworx Diecast a Jag that I chose for a stock competition has defended the championship 7 times now there. Yep, good wheelbase, skinny enough to slide through gaps and not get hung up on laned track, fairly low natural CG. Lots going for it!!

. . . . Needed to be more front-heavy, I think-to help keep it straight (out of turns and after being bumped into) and to make it possible to “pendulum” block as others pass. Being able to swing out in front of others like that pays dividends. Shame it didn’t work out this time. That’s how racing goes... Congrats Darq n Dusty. Stallion Johnson will return!!!!
Agreed 👍 Any car with a long nose and little butt can have inherent front/rear balance to overcome. You sure showed us what you can do in clean air even if a tap from behind can set you into a spin within a battling group. I'm still proud of you 👏

Just gotta figure out weight distribution and casting choices, next. Other builders definitely have more wisdom in that department. Will be easier to learn once I build a track of my own to test on, I think. The learning curve continues!

Another piece of advice, to get a show anywhere close to what you see here, expect every minute of finished video to demand an hour at the computer doing the editing, at least until you figure out your process and find some shortcuts. Whatever graphics and editing package you decide to use, they take time to learn even though capabilities for those keep improving and become more accessible to someone starting out Filming. . .that is the easy part. So much more to explore and skill to attain to make a polished production
@@Chris_Hood The filming isn't easy either. You need very good lighting and keeping up with those little cars needs some training aswell. @villis_videos Commentating live is very hard, things happen quite fast. Many of us realizing certain interaction after watching the footage, not while filming!
@@jurinout8665 I suppose I was speaking relatively. Cars go by so very fast, much more than they're shown throughout the hobby and you have to build up some muscle memory to make it look good when nothing unexpected takes place.
@@vilis_videos Yep, all those things they are saying down below are very true. First we film using GoPros. Best thing we can use and still be somewhat on a budget. We commentate after the races, because they are moving VERY FAST!. We reduce the speed by 50% and 25 for replay. It’s fun to do a channel but you don’t realize how much time and work it takes to do one till you do. Thanks for the support and hope this helps some.
