NO WONDER WHY GERMANS ARE KNOWN TO BE THE BEST ENGINEERS....THE GUYS WORKSHOP AND TOOLS ARE SO CLEAN...AND THE WAY HE WORKS, SO ORGANIZED ...CONGRATULATIONS WAVECEPTOR!!!..
that's something every mechanic learns here first. Sort your tools, use them like they are designed to and after every job clean them and clean your whole working area - then the next job.
Great job, the attention to detail, ensuring all surface rust removed, all done to the highest standards, a quality job, done correctly, if only all garages worked to the same high standard
That was impressive. Something to aspire to in my home garage. It's interesting how you can watch the same mundane process (brake replacement) and tell the difference between the pros and amateurs.
Great job! I think this is the first time I see a brake job being done properly from beggining to the end. Cleaneing what is necessary, not using useless greasing, attention to tightening torques, etc. This is in fact a simple job, the importance is in the details. Again, great job. This car was enginnered to deserve this kind of professionalism.
Wow, this is probably the most excellent quality brake job that I've ever seen. Is this how services are performed at Mercedes dealerships? If so then the cost is much more justified if this quality and attention to detail is consistently enforced.
You sir are a seriously good mechanic! So much perfection and care in your work. If you where in the uk I'd bring my car to you whenever some work needed doing. Great video absolute pleasure to watch you at work.
Nice job! I'm totally impressive by the work precision and accuracy of the work replacement done by the German. Efficient, accurate, precise and professional.
+WaveCeptor: The way you handle the tools, decide and position the tools on the working bench, and calibrate your torque wretch really show your professionalism.
I did my oil change and brakes myself thanks to WaceCeptor's videos, the only thing that would make them perfect would be to display the torque specs. Other than that, thank you !!
Wow so well done. I wish I had more videos like this so I could do more things myself on my Mercedes rather than let the dealer rip me off. Excellent quality and professionalism. Please more videos.
At 100000 miles, I just replaced all the brake pads! This time around, I am going to replace all including the rotors but I will take the rotors out for service and then put them back ! Rotors are very expensive nowadays ! 😊
BOA NOITE. (GRANDE SIRURGIAO ) COMO SEMPRE PERFEITO O RESULTADO. DETALHE AS RODAS LIMPAS (ISSO NÃO TEM PREÇO ) FOI PERFEITO PARABÉNS PELO TRABALHO APRESENTADO
Thats ok. Replaced my discs and break pads to the rear a while ago. It did take me more than probably in a garage but I prefere buying the tools instead of the labour for it then doing myself as much as I can and keep the tools for future similar jobs:D Dont give up. I wish all mechanics were like him. Its hard to find good quality and tidy mechanics.
I do this all on jack stands and it takes me around 45 to do them in my car.I try not to get discouraged when I see videos like this as they have lifts and every tool imaginable
Opening the bleeding valve when pressing brake cylinder to the caliper helps to remove overheated and worn brake fluid and will prevent from pushing back to the system .
Everything is spot on with a proper way to service brakes. However I usually open the bleeder screw to avoid dirty fluid back into the reservoir while returning the caliper piston. Especially with ABS vehicles.
@@PhillipJ110 Genau.
high quality work which is not common in typical repair shop. with that note, how come you don't recommend/suggest brake fluid flush with each brake pad replacement? I do mine at home and add extra 5 mins on each brake to flush the old fluid out.
Congratulations! Very professional. I have a question: do you think is it dangerous to retract the caliper piston with old brake fluid? Is it safe enough to change the brake fluid before retracting it, or is it better to retract it with the bleeding valve opened so that fluid doesn't go back to the ABS unit? Thank you very much
Fascinating. like watching a ballet I've seen a hundred times perform faultlessly.. However I'm shocked there is not an official Mercedes Brake Caliper Hose Tension Release Support Tool. (I too use a heavy wire hanger) and what do have you guys have against brake cleaner? Some environmental thing?
nice job. But I have few questions hope guys can answer 1. no anti-seize required on the both edge of brake pad? 2. can the wheel be over torque? The wheel was already torqued with spec with impact air gun then torque again with torque wrench.
Great job, very professional, only thought, when topping up the brake fluid, why was it necessary to remove the filter, surely it's job is to catch contaminants from the bottle used for topping up.
Hi man, thanks for your videos in general, they are so satisfying to watch :) I wonder, do you plan on doing video about Smart Car, just in case because it's stil Mercedes isn't it?
Forgot to put the new bolts in with new thread lock on them? oops. I assume you took out the used ones out, and put the new ones in, off camera (because you looked right at them on the lift lol) Thanks for the video!
Not a single snap on tool in sight and yet better work than anyone in North America id say (im from Canada). Its about the technician, not the tools although they look extremely high quality still.
Perfect work on that brakes, the only thing that i can complain about its the times you blowed with your mouth instead of using compressed air, that times lowered your calification from 10/10 to 9,5/10 hahahah
hi I have A question want to ask ?? if my car is Mercedes Benz C 350 I want to ask you I want to do a brake job for myself but I didn't know how many foot pound to tight for brake clipper and clipper mount too , So would you mind to tell me?? Thank you
Lots of care and detail put into your work, thank-you for posting. I have question: I heard Mercedes design their OEM pads to wear uneven so pads & rotors have to be replaced together, is that true? Car is C350 and has 50,000km, can I just replace pads or must do entire brake replacement?
Thank you :) Normaly the rotors have twice the durability of the brake pads. To play safe you can measure the thinkness of the rotors. The wear measurement have to be engraved on the rotor itself.

LOL at the guy pinning this and the amazement people have with a simple brake job.
stupid comment

Yet, another perfect procedure. Excellent.
The best video I have seen on W204 front brake change, very nicely made and top quality workmanship too.

Love the end with brakefluid (Y). Nice work !
Only said tongue in cheek. Very much appreciate your excellent and clear work. Thank you
Very organised just like a surgeon. Hope all garages do this. I wish I can take my car to this garage. a pleasure to watch this guy.

What's your expierence with ATE? Personally i've always used ATE and been very satisfied with the performance.

Are Mercedes-Benz OE Brake pads ATE or TRW? I ordered pads online for E-Klasse and got TRW in MB label box, but pads only labeled TRW.
