    Great video. In general are you happy with the multi species and would you consider sowing more pasture in multi species

      Yes very happy, have 20 acres to be sown this year. Unfortunately I didn't get it in yet so just waiting for rain now

    How much milk does each cow make a day. And how much money does that equal to for you. I know your grass fed milk probably goes for a premium compared to our cows here in America, I like the way you guys allow the cows to be outside in pasture instead of cooped up in a stall all day just eating grain and no sunlight. I’d like to run a dairy and pastured animals for meat one day but can’t get past the the thought of sending them to slaughter without feeling extreme guilt but pastured dairy seems like it’s a symbiotic relationship

      Our cows produce about 6000litres/year or 500kgMS/year. But its much lower cost than indoor systems

    Do you find the multi species sward measures the same as a rye grass and clover sward or do you adjust the measurements?

    • @MCMilkingIt
      @MCMilkingIt  Год назад +1

      It over estimates as some of the species are lower DM. I just account for that

      How does it fit into the rotation? I presume the recovery is more than 21 days?

      @@davidcooil2105 I haven't noticed much difference

    Did spread any fertiliser or slurry on the silage ground yet or will you wait till rain is forecast?

    • @MCMilkingIt
      @MCMilkingIt  Год назад +1
