    Reading the comments on these videos reveals the real state of the American society.
    An alarming amount of aggression, hatred, ignorance and coldheartedness towards this most vulnerable minority proofs the decline of a healthy and civilized social interaction more strikingly than the situation of these stranded people itself.

      I think they act this way because they desperately don't want to be in their situation. I've thought like this before and I'm happy for the interviews that Invisible People had submitted for over a decade.
      This channel has also given me more of a compassionate view on a lot of my previous prejudices.

      You know in Germany, a woman like her would be put in a 'woman house', where they would help her with her issues and show her how to take care of the baby. Get an job, Ect.
      If she is non compliant, they would take the baby thou.
      I think its a fair chance. An adult should be able to take responsibility. The past can't be the permanent exuse for not getting it together.
      Yes we are not all dealt the same cards, but we can make the best of them. Its quite irresponsible to take drugs when pregnant, no matter what the mental state I do judge her for that. She is basically knowingly damaging her kid. Being a parent does put things in perspective. You have to put your own needs behind and if that is not possible, abortion or better yet, protection is not that hard.

We’re the same age, so when Baby would go on respite, I’d always hope she’d get to stay the weekend with us because she was always funny to me. We were like 13/14 years old at the time, but she had a good sense of humor. I never knew or heard about what happened to her while she was in Knoxville. But Loudon is an even worse place to be. You might not like what I'm about to tell you, but personality is largely genetic. You are not getting a clean slate when you are adopting a baby, you are getting a blue print made up of someone else's DNA. It's true that you are giving the child more opportunities by providing him with a safe upbringing, but he's never going to be everything you likely hoped for if his parents were not smart people.

    • @Billybloop
      @Billybloop 4 года назад +16

      @delores walmack Genetics is a major contributor to how a child will respond to his or her environment. I have a lot of personal experience of being around adopted children and most simply turn out to be more like their natural parents rather than their adoptive ones, even when they have been given every opportunity to be successful and were adopted at a very early age . This is a common source of conflict in adoption families. People who adopt often think they are getting a clean slate but they are not. I'm really not trying to argue in favor of eugenics, I'm a libertarian and I think everyone should be allowed to reproduce and should be left alone unless they commit an obvious crime, but it is what is it.

      there is a small chance that the baby is going to be fine and make it through if the baby gets adopted, however, if the woman who is interviewed, baby, is going to raise her.. u already could speculate what is going to happen.. the woman itself struggled with the same issues during her childhood. Of course she is now adult and could change her life, but as long as she stays in the victemhood, she won't be able to raise the kid and it's sad that the kid does not have a father or mother who gave birth to it. Best case scenario for the kid: adoption.

      The most difficult issue with homelessness, is that the homeless can overcome their issues and be able to keep their home. If people are strung out on drugs, like really badly that they cannot take care of themselves properly whilst fighting demons at the same time. It is very hard indeed to provide them with any kind of long term shelter that they themselves can be responsible over.

    How can you get a job if you have no safe place to live, no car to get to and from work, no clean clothes and makeup to look good for work....trust me it's almost impossible to simply get a job without other people to help at first....I was living in my car for a few years and if it wasn't for my car I'd never have kept jobs bc u cant come to work stinking and looking homeless. I'd lie and say I stayed in a one room by myself when really I was in my car. These people need to be carried before they can walk on their own. If that makes sense....

      So you have to have all that to have a job? Where is your head at. women DO NOT need makeup to jet a job. Vehicles are not cheap so there is such things as public transportation. Everyone has to start from somewhere and if this is her starting point then it is. Who are u to judge on why she can not have a job because of what she doesn't have? Its called motivation to get up and do it!!!!

Even if that "makeup" is chapstick and some under eye concealer (BC ITS EXHAUSTING BEING HOMELESS) have YOU ever been homeless? I have. So you cant even judge or pick at what I said. I have LIVED that life. So honestly you sound so completely big headed and making judgments on experiences you have no clue about. It's really very weird you would choose me to troll. But whatever. I just pray for these people to find the good in life and get clean one day. Back in the day she would have been able to live at a state funded home for unwed mothers. Adoption is a smart choice for her and a wonderful gift of a better life she can give for her baby. I say never lose hope bc I am now 7 years clean from drugs and the only reason why i am clean all this time is my husband never gave up on me. Love can heal. I pray for all of the people you interview to find what or who they love and a reason to live a clean healthy life.
