I just did the achievement of playing this map with only nature t1+t2 and this was very helpful! I wanted to figure out as much as I could on my own, so I just watched the very beginning of this video to get me through the first large wave :D
I did the rest basically only with spike roots and living towers which worked fine. The parasite swarm way looks even easier though

spikeroot such a cancer unit.. he uses his ability exactly in the direction where there are less units, like if was at least designed to use it in the direction he is facing, but no, he gonna destroy those last archers
