@ChrisCreats That's nice! I personally use full fingers for positive, and curled fingers (at the first bend) for negative. That's way I can use both hands for higher counts. But still great!
@samuelmerkel2888 have you heard of people using their feet for Ace-side counts? Apart, toes together, heels together, fully together. Works well for double deck
18:20 payout error for the player!! Dealer must be playing in our favor🤫 Love these vids, I watch them at 2x and use it as a challenge to see if I can keep the count.
Awesome video. I found out about how to count cards maybe a week and a half ago and ive been practicing at home. I was wondering how i would do in an actual setting and i was thoroughly pleased that not only did i keep the count, but i was saying it in my head and not mouthing it or saying it out loud. This was a great training video
Good tip. For me, I repeat the count in my head over and over subconsciously and I think I just compartmentalize it in my mind somehow, like just hold it as a separate thought and tell yourself that you're not gonna let anything else you hear interfere with it. I've used that method throughout my life to keep a short-term memory of things like a phone number for example before I have a chance to write it down. Isolate the number in your mind and repeat.
I had it a +2, not bad, this videos really help you a lot counting 🙌🏻 What kind of exercise do you suggest to put in practice to test if someone is ready to go and play in a casino to count cards?
I really liked this video because he played the entire shoe without verbally stating the running count or slowing down in between, minus the distractions which actually help. This is WAY better practice (for me) than the other ones where the dealing goes slow and/or the count is announced. It keeps me honest so I'm not adjusting the count based on what he says (plus I've seen his count be off in other videos when he's dealing at the same time anyways- hard to do both I imagine). Point is... I hope he keeps this format going!! Thanks A1
It's hard to make everyone happy. As soon as I don't put the count, people want it, when I flat bet people want a spread, when I go too fast, they want it slower. I have a variety of videos, so hopefully everyone finds something they like.
@A1-BJ Very true. There are all levels of experience who have varying preference for practice...example I cover the corner of my tv when you put up the running count haha That way I only find out if I'm right at the end 😆 Thanks for all you do to teach us!!
Damn, had a count of +1 at the end. Was trying it while at work, so I definitely have a few more distractions, but that's no excuse 😝 Thanks for the tips and practice! Wish I could have shoes like these when I actually make trips!
First time i tried something like this, I have super bad ADHD and wanted to see how I would do off meds. +5 not bad for first try. I'm still memorizing basic strategy, hopefully that comes fast, because there is no possible way I could do this in a casino where I had to play and be that close. Thanks, this was super helpful, I'll try it again in a month or so.
@@A1-BJ I'll have to keep that in mind, I'm still working out basic strategy currently.. a large chunk of it is really easy, now its just a matter of figuring out the niche DDs and such
when it comes to a fill with a fast dealer it usually takes only a few seconds, when it's a slow dealer I just hold the count in my chips [e.g. if the count is 7 I will hold a nickel and 2 pennies. if it's 23 I'll hold 4 nickels and 3 pennies]
I kind of stacked it, by putting the same cards every other so that there would be lots of splits. I suppose I ended up doing this with low cards, as I wasn't counting and didn't know when to split 10s.
I think I went all the way up to a RC of 24, but I did end correctly on +3. Positive counts are easier for me. My nemesis is crossing back and forth over the zero line 😡 I'm trying to stack my deck for practicing that.
when the running count ends at +3 does that translate into us being disadvantaged by an additional -3 on the running count? ie. we could be scaling our bets thinking true count is +1 when in fact it was effectively a true count 0... obviously we could never know this until the end, but i often wonder if casinos w/ card shufflers stack the deck trying to game out the typical "cut" so that high cards are locked away at the end of the deck, making advantaged players really not as advantaged as they think
Casinos are very unlikely to cheat, as they would get fined by the gaming commission much more than any AP would take them for. But that sai, the cards are the end are the most valuable, so that's why finding the thinest cut is very important as it gives us a much "more true" count compared to the beginning.
Lol, no, oops! I was thinking about my next "distraction" and got distracted myself! I thought about trying to count in this video as well, but that would've been way too much!!
This video is not about bet spreads. If you'd like one with that see my 50K Bankroll challenge or check out my new series on Patreon. linktr.ee/a1blackjack
Weirdly I do the same with fingers but I use my left hand for negative right for positive
Great system!
Me too! But gets tricky if RC gets above 15 😂
...a good problem to have

I got the plus 3 🎉. I’m proud of myself. A1 thank you for these videos they are really helpful.
I'm proud of you too!!! Let's go ♠️

Proud of myself for keeping an accurate count through all of that. Thanks for the tip and video.
Boom! Nice work! ♠️
Payout error at 18:20 (in AP favor) was another distraction! 😂
noticed that too lol
Nice catch! I was thinking about the upcoming "distraction" and distracted myself!

@@A1-BJ lol [I meant $1 chips since, reds are nickels, greens are quarters, whites are pennies, and blacks are loonies to me]
@bruce4139 I was just giving you a hard time!
@@A1-BJ lol fair enough
That's actually a good suggestion, I might try that. I never play side bet so it might be weird asking for "pennies" and never using them 😂
Yes I got 3 was the deck stacked or was it shuffled it hit really high at 22 at one point

Yeah that threw me as well, thought I saw it wrong 😂
I was close at 2
Not bad!
first fill was 11.3k and count is 18 [I'm playing pokemon on the side as well]
I was off by 1 but was pretty sure that I missed a card anyway
Darn Pokémon...
@A1-BJ it's good for practice lol
Every Bett spread you put out unrealistic af 😆 u only be finding tables with double the bet for 2 hands
